"Bonny" after Anne Bonny had been on my list for consideration. "Pirate" would be cool, but it's kind of a hard name to call

Dog went on her first camping/hiking trip with me this past week and I'm happy to report that she is an excellent outdoor buddy. I bought a cheap tent in case she turned out to be a crazy pup, but she was highly respectful of the shelter and didn't cause any harm. We had some very strong gusts throughout the first two nights and she handled the situation like a pro - no barking and no major anxiety. She's also unstoppable on the trails. It was a whole new world out there for her and she was eager to see it all...except for the three bears we saw over an hour's span at the end of one hike. I was also happy to find that she LOVES water and doesn't hesitate to jump right in. So far, I feel like I've hit the dog lottery.

I'm looking forward to many more adventures with this doggerino

We stayed at the Lincoln National Forest Three Rivers campground in New Mexico. There was only one other set of campers there, so the solitude was as amazing as the scenery. Can't wait to go back fa sho
