Love the tail poof! We had a border collie mix who always got super matted in the summer so we would get him shaved and he always got a firecracker tail too. RIP Maurice the Dog.

Seven of the 10 border collie pups are headed for their transitionary foster homes this weekend in order to get socialized with people in preparation to get adopted. The other 3 have another few days to go.

The puppies look like tiny bears.

We have had two. A boy that lived to be 17. A girl that lived to be 14.

They are extremely intelligent. Very vocal. They can absolutely talk. You have to baby proof the house because they can get into anything. Curious like a cat.

They don't get very big.

They were bred to kill rats and such on barges and ships in Europe/Scandinavia. They are little dogs but have some big dog teeth.

My mom grew up with one and my uncle still talks about it to this day. Said it used to walk them to / from school when they were little, ha!

This wrecked me. What a sweet and heartbreaking little comic.

We just learned my brothers dog of 11 years, who I watched all the time and loved like she was my own, is not doing well and may need to be put down soon. As in, within the next couple of weeks soon. Been a tough couple of days.

8 of the 10 headed to foster homes yesterday, leaving 2 plus the mom with us. We are going to adopt one of the puppies.

They are all being cared for by BARC - https://www.houstontx.gov/barc/. You can ask for a lady named LIly Tang if you're interested in adopting one.
