Thanks man. Beau is one of the smartest dogs I've ever been around. He can be hard-headed at times, and he's kinda a pansy, but smart nonetheless. I wasn't even looking for a puppy when I got him, but when they set him in my lap, I knew he was mine.

got this shot from my mom a few days ago, almost 9 years old and going strong, minus that grey hair around nose and eyes. glad he's able to be the protector of the household while I'm in Japan. miss that guy.

he will never look at the camera, no matter how hard we try.

This picture made my day.

One of mine doesn't like towels either. She's bitten me before because I've tried to towel dry her. I've learned that if I just swaddle her and press on her body I can get a lot of moisture. If I also just massage her head like I care, she doesn't realize I'm drying it. Or it feels too good she doesn't care. But still - the difference in towel temperament between my two idiot mutts is hysterical.
