Men’s Basketball
For the first time in its 27-year history, Reed Arena will host a top-10 battle this weekend when No. 10 Texas A&M faces No. 5 Alabama.
That is at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
Women’s Basketball
Texas A&M had several lengthy scoring dry spells as No. 2 South Carolina overwhelmed the Aggies with a 41-point victory, 90-49.
Sitting at 8-7, 1-2 SEC, the SEC never sleeps as A&M will head to Norman on Sunday to take on No. 10 Oklahoma for the first time since 2016.
Baseball
On Thursday, Texas A&M OF Jace LaViolette was named the Perfect Game Preseason Player of the Year. On Perfect Game’s first team was Jace and LHP Ryan Prager, while Gavin Grahovac earned a spot on the third team.
A&M will start the 2025 campaign atop the Perfect Game Preseason Poll, as announced by the publication Monday.
Softball
Mac Barbara, Emiley Kennedy and Koko Wooley have been named to the Softball America Preseason Top 100 Player List with Kennedy earning All-SEC First Team honors.
Track & Field
A&M opens the 2025 campaign at home as it hosts the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational at the R.A. ‘Murray’ Fasken ’38 Indoor Track & Field facility Friday, with field events starting at 10 a.m. and track events at 2:10 p.m.
Women’s Tennis
The reigning national champions opened their 2025 campaign with the Weinman Foundation Invitational Hawaii. After day two, the Aggies own a 17-3 record at the event, including 13-1 in singles play.
Also, A&M was predicted to finish third in the SEC by the league’s coaches. Georgia was selected to finish first, followed by Texas, A&M, Florida and then Auburn.
Men’s Tennis
The Ags opened the spring season at the Sun Devil Preseason Invitational hosted by Arizona State.
Soccer
Coach G has brought in seven transfer additions, and more recently, three DFW natives, 2024 Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Year Erica Defferding (Incarnate Word), All-American Athletic Conference forward Leah Diaz (Tulsa) and two-year starting SEC defender Hattie Patterson (Ole Miss).
