2024 Refugio ATH Ernest Campbell commits to Texas A&M
Texas A&M’s recruiting momentum continues to build, and today, the Aggies strike home with one of the nation’s fastest prospects as Refugio (TX) ATH Ernest Campbell announced his college choice.
Campbell is a dynamic threat any time he touches the ball, and he has been a standout on offense, defense and special teams for small school powerhouse Refugio. At receiver, he is a polished route runner, known for his lateral quickness, versatility and world-class speed. He is also a dynamic asset in the return game and has been a playmaker in the secondary.
On the track, he is a state champion in the 100m and 200m with times of 10.25 and 20.92, respectively, and is one of the country’s top sprinters.
Campbell’s decision comes on the heels of a flurry of June visits. Texas A&M received his first official visit, and the opportunity to compete in football and the track in College Station put the Aggies at the top of his list. He followed his trip to Texas A&M with official visits to Texas Tech and Nebraska, as well as an unofficial visit to Oregon.
Wide receiver coach Dameyune Craig led Texas A&M’s recruiting efforts, and he becomes the Aggies’ 18th commitment of the 2024 class.
