Texas A&M has risen to No. 17 in the AP Poll after knocking off the Arkansas Razorbacks in a thriller at Jerry World as the Aggies have upset top-15 opponents in consecutive weeks.

The Ags also came in at No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

This week’s AP Poll includes seven SEC schools in the top 25. Georgia and Alabama remained in the top two spots after big wins over lesser opponents. Kentucky and Ole Miss are now ranked seventh and 14th respectively after wins over Northern Illinois and Tulsa that were closer than most expected. Tennessee outlasted Florida at home and moved up to No. 8 while Florida fell out of the poll. Arkansas fell to No. 20 after giving up 159 rushing yards to Devon Achane and falling to the Aggies.

Outside of the SEC, Clemson needed double overtime to beat Wake Forest in Salem. Clemson stayed at No. 5, and Wake fell to No. 22. Texas and Miami were both upset Saturday, and both were dropped from the poll. Oklahoma was upset at home by Kansas State and fell to No. 18 while the Wildcats made their season debut in the rankings. Also, Southern California benefitted from the Sooners’ loss and moved up one spot after narrowly escaping Oregon State in Corvallis.

Week Five’s slate of games gives us a number of ranked matchups as Alabama faces off with Arkansas in Fayetteville, NC State travels to Clemson, Oklahoma State visits Baylor and Kentucky squares off with Ole Miss.

Much improved and much to improve on. 2 & 3 quarters looked good. Last Hog drive was troubling.

That's a big jump by A&M and a massive fall by Arkansas.
