Box Score
High-scoring, sloppy and painful.
Despite erasing a six-run deficit, Texas A&M fell to Alabama, 10-9, on Saturday afternoon as the Crimson Tide evened the weekend series. An Aggie offense that scored nine on 12 hits was ultimately haunted by four defensive miscues.
Entering the sixth trailing 7-1, Texas A&M exploded for a seven-run inning jumpstarted by a Dylan Rock lead off with a hustle double down the left-field line before Jack Moss unloaded for a two-run blast.
Following the round-tripper, an Austin Bost single, a Brett Minnich walk and an Alabama error finally chased starter Jacob McNairy.

Dylan Rock finished 3-for-5 with two runs and a stolen base to lead A&M’s offense.
With the bases loaded, reliever Antonie Jean walked Ryan Targac, the first man he faced.
After Jean recorded an out, Jordan Thompson singled up the middle to drive in another run, but the ball rolled under centerfielder Caden Rose’s glove, emptying the bases on the play. A subsequent RBI groundout by Kole Kaler gave the Ags an 8-7 lead.
Will Johnston could not hold the lead as the Tide scored three unearned runs with two outs in the seventh to take a 10-8 lead on a William Hamiter pinch-hit, two-run single.
A&M scored once more on Targac’s eighth-inning RBI single, but the Aggies failed to find an equalizer as Alabama closer Dylan Ray recorded the final six outs.
Texas A&M’s errors led to five unearned runs the day, while the Tide’s three errors gifted A&M three unearned markers.
With Micah Dallas sliding to Sunday following his relief appearance on Tuesday night, Jim Schlossnagle and Nate Yeskie turned to Ryan Prager, who proved to be ineffective after the third inning.
On short rest, Prager fell victim to numerous infield hits and was lifted after facing two batters in the fifth and allowing six runs (only four earned) on seven hits and three walks.
Multiple bunt singles and three Aggie errors allowed Alabama to cash in four runs in the fourth. An inning later, the Tide added three more to take what should have been a comfortable six-run lead.
Following the frustrating back-and-forth affair, Dallas (3-0, 3.32 ERA) will start Sunday’s 1 p.m. CT rubber match.
