Women’s Basketball (22-1, 13-1 in SEC play)
#1 Texas A&M opens the 2011 Southeastern Conference Tournament on Friday morning as they face #8 LSU at 10:00 a.m. CT on the SEC Network.

The Southeastern Conference announced their end-of-year awards on Tuesday.

  • Senior forward N’dea Jones was named a first-team all-conference selection.
  • Senior guard Aaliyah Wilson was named a second-team all-conference selection.
  • Senior guard Destiny Pitts was named the SEC’s 6th Woman of the Year.
  • Senior center Ciera Johnson was named the SEC’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Despite not being named the SEC Coach of the Year, Gary Blair was named a semifinalist for the Werner Ladder Naismith Coach of the Year Award.

Men’s Golf
Junior Sam Bennett won the Cabo Collegiate at TPC San Antonio this week.

  • Bennett shot a 5-under 67 in the final round. For the week, he finished at 5-under, shooting 74-70-67.
  • The victory earned Bennett an exemption to compete in the 2021 Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio, which begins on March 29.
  • As a team, the Aggies finished third in the Cabo Collegiate, three strokes behind Oklahoma (-4).

For his performance at last week’s Border Olympics, senior Dan Erickson was named the SEC’s Player of the Week.

Men’s Basketball (8-8, 2-7 in SEC play)
After a 32-day hiatus, the Aggies returned to the court and came up short against Mississippi State, 63-57, on Wednesday night at Reed Arena.

  • Emanuel Miller had a team-high 24 points and added 13 rebounds for a double-double.
  • Quenton Jackson scored 13 points and Savion Flagg added 12.
  • Before the game, Jackson, Flagg, Jay Jay Chandler and Kevin Marfo were honored during a Senior Night night presentation for their contributions to the program.

Texas A&M concludes the regular season on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Fayetteville to face No. 12 Arkansas.

  • Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CT and will be televised on the SEC Network.
  • Saturday’s game is a rescheduled contest and was originally scheduled to be played on Feb. 6.

Baseball (6-4, 0-0 in SEC play)
Texas A&M swept their midweek slate with victories over Southland Conference opponents on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Aggies host New Mexico State this weekend for a three-game series at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

  • Friday: 6:32 p.m. CT, streaming on SEC Network+. Dustin Saenz starts for A&M.
  • Saturday: 2:02 p.m. CT, streaming on SEC Network+. Bryce Miller starts for A&M.
  • Sunday: 1:02 p.m. CT, streaming on SEC Network+. Jonathan Childress starts for A&M.

Softball (7-2, 0-0 in SEC play)
On Wednesday, the Aggies went to Huntsville to face Sam Houston State and returned with an 11-5 victory over the Bearkats.

  • Haley Lee (6), Ashlynn Walls (2), Jourdyn Campbell (1) and Dani Elder (1, 2) each homered.

Texas A&M returns to Davis Diamond this weekend for five games as they host Lamar, Campbell and No. 19 Tennessee in the 2021 Reveille Classic.

Women’s Golf
Texas A&M competed in the Gamecock Intercollegiate Columbia, South Carolina, from Monday-Wednesday.

  • The Aggies finished 18th as a team.
  • Top performer: Senior Courtney Dow - T-60th at +11 (75-77-75 -- 227)

Equestrian (2-3, 1-3 in SEC play)
No. 5 Texas A&M’s regular-season finale is set for Saturday vs. No. 3 Georgia at the Hildebrand Equine Complex. Competition begins at 10:00 a.m. CT.

Men’s Tennis (8-2, 3-1 in SEC play)
No. 11 Texas A&M travels to Starkville on Friday to face No. 23 Mississippi State. Action begins at 3:00 p.m. CT.

On Sunday, the Aggies will stop in Oxford to face No. 24 Ole Miss. Action begins at 10:30 p.m. CT

Women’s Tennis (9-3, 1-1 in SEC play)
The Aggies also have two matches this weekend with Mississippi State on Friday and Ole Miss on Sunday, both in Bryan-College Station at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

  • Friday: Mississippi State, 5:00 p.m. CT - Not televised
  • Sunday: Ole Miss, 12:00 p.m. CT - Not televised

Volleyball (6-4, 6-4 in SEC play)
After having their matches with No. 3 Kentucky postponed last week, the Aggies are back in action this weekend vs. Alabama for a pair of home matches at Reed Arena.

  • Saturday: 6:00 p.m. CT on the SEC Network+
