2021 Philadelphia Northeast DE Elijah Jeudy signs with Texas A&M
The Aggies continue to add speed, athleticism, and physicality to the trenches. The Aggies returned to familiar territory for another big-time defensive addition as Philadelphia (PA) Northeast defensive end Elijah Jeudy announced his pledge to Texas A&M during the All-American Bowl TV Special on NBC.
Jeudy joins Northeast teammate Tyreek Chappell as a member of Texas A&M’s 2021 recruiting class after choosing the Aggies over the Georgia Bulldogs.
The 6-4, 250-pound edge man committed to Georgia in April over Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon, and LSU but backed away from his Georgia pledge in September. He announced a top two of Georgia and Texas A&M and in November and signed with the Aggies in December.
Even while Jeudy was committed to Georgia, Elijah Robinson, Terry Price and Mike Elko never gave in. Their persistence is ultimately rewarded in a defensive end prospect who held nearly 30 offers from across the country, some of which were Georgia, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Oregon, Penn State and Michigan.
Jeudy’s tape shows a well-rounded defensive end prospect with elite change of direction, flexibility, and strength. You can view his junior highlights below.
This commitment moves A&M’s total in 2021 to 21 as Jeudy joins a defensive line class that includes Jahzion Harris, Albert Regis, Marcus Burris, Shemar Turner, and Tunmise Adeleye.
