The kid straight up said he was going to go to OU. This has nothing to do with making OU fans happy, has to do with getting the truth out there. aTm got a great player, but they were his 2nd choice. Again, his words not mine.
2021 Beggs (OK) safety Kendal Daniels chooses Texas A&M
Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M continue to see the 2021 recruiting class come together. On Saturday, the Aggies added another prized target to the fold when Beggs, Oklahoma safety Kendal Daniels announced his college decision.
At 6-4 and190-pounds, Daniels brings a rare combination of size, athleticism and instincts to the table. He is a natural defender with the speed and range to patrol the back end of the defense. He is a sure tackler with an elite burst. Daniels is a prospect with tremendous upside as he continues to grow into his frame.
Daniels chose the Aggies over fellow finalists Clemson, LSU and Oklahoma, and he becomes the 13th commitment in the Aggies’ 2021 class. He is the first safety and joins cornerbacks Deuce Harmon, Tyreek Chappell and Dreyden Norwood as defensive backs in the class.
He is regarded as the No. 1 player in the state of Oklahoma, with offers arriving from across the country.
As a junior, Daniels recorded 119 tackles, six interceptions and three touchdowns. In his last two seasons, he has recorded 191 tackles, 12 picks and five touchdowns in 29 games. In that time span, Beggs has a 24-5 overall record, a 13-1 district record and made a trip to the 2A semifinals in 2019 as well as the 2A finals in 2018. Daniels is also a standout on the basketball court.
