Texas A&M secures pledge from 2019 Manvel OL Layden Robinson
Texas A&M has landed a commitment on the offensive line from Manvel’s Layden Robinson. The 6-4, 310-pounder put on an absolute show during A&M’s prospect camp two weeks ago where he earned his offer, and it didn’t take him long to make his commitment.
Robinson joins Atascocita’s Kenyon Green, Hallsville's Blake Trainor and Adrian Medley out of Florida as the fourth member of Jim Turner’s 2019 offensive line haul. Turner spent a lot of time with Robinson during camp and had a lengthy conversation with him and his mother at the end of the day.
Robinson has seen his stock skyrocket this spring. He’s been a standout at every camp he’s been to across the region and is viewed as one of the fastest-rising prospects in Texas regardless of position. He’s related to former A&M DB Shun Horn. You can view his junior highlights here:
Overall, he’s the 18th member of the 2019 Texas A&M recruiting class.
