WATCH: Johnny Manziel talks off field struggles on Good Morning America

As you may have heard, Johnny Manziel is attempting a legitimate football comeback — possibly at first in the Canadian Football League, where he has an offer on the table — and he talked with Good Morning America's T.J. Holmes this weekend during his trip back to Aggieland.

He touches on various topics like the trickle down effect that his behavior has had on his family, his sense of entitlement, depression, addiction to alcohol and even being diagnosed as bipolar.

He also discusses the frustration he has watching other guys do what he wants to be doing: playing football at the highest level.

"I don't know what kind of comeback it will be, but I know that I want to get back on the football field and do what brought me so much joy in my life and makes me happy."

Here's hoping his goal comes to fruition.

You can watch the full interview below.

Great interview!! There are not many athletes that would step up and admit their past failures and put the blame on themselves like Johnny did. He admitted his mistakes and took actions to correct them. Good for him, and the best of luck to him as he goes forth with his goals.

Looks like a water bottle right next to it... did some ridiculous fan boy bring shot glasses so he could say "I took a shot with Johnny"? Fans do not equal friends

What kind of goat? Have the Texags owners, staff, paying sponsors (incl. 12th Man Foundation; Assoc of Former Students; A&M Foundation) and advertisers forgotten that Texags has a terms of use agreement with all posters? What a joke!

I will always support Johnny, and he does appear to be doing better, but you could see in that interview that he was lying when he says he doesn't drink at all anymore. He probably drinks much less, but he is not fully abstaining. The video of him taking a shot is proof. Alcoholism is a terrible disease, and will turn the best of people into liars.

I hate to say it but that bottle looks an awful lot like an 1800 tequila bottle.

That's old. Not wearing the same thing and they used a different background.

Mental illness is so difficult to discuss, even though so many do. After seeing that video, he's on the right path. Very happy for Johnny. Can't wait to watch him back on the field.
