A&M QB Conner McQueen writes goodbye letter to Aggieland
Since walking onto the football team in 2012 out of Klein Oak High School, A&M QB/Holder/Ginger Conner McQueen had a way of connecting to the Aggie fan base like few have over the years.
He was one of the most valued members of the quarterback room, earned a scholarship in 2014, became a Holder of the Year candidate in 2016 (inspiring the first-ever holder highlight reel), provided countless GIFs at practice and even walked all the way from Bright to our office in a successful effort to claim one of theugliest greatest hats in existence.
He will be sorely missed on the A&M sidelines in 2017, and because of that, was granted the honor of writing a farewell message to Aggieland in The Batt's graduation edition. Here's an excerpt that sums up McQueen's attitude throughout his time at A&M:

My parents taught me that if you are truly passionate about something, your individual role should not matter as long as you are contributing to the whole. Whether I was the scout team wide receiver, scout team quarterback, placekick holder or second/third/fourth/fifth-string quarterback on game day, I was driven by the desire to win football games."
