“Win the day,” they say. The Aggies, who are now 17-1 on the season and ranked No. 5 nationally, definitely won the day taking care of business at the plate and shutting out UTSA, 12-0, and beating Georgetown, 7-1. Sometimes the Aggies made it look more like a home run derby than anything else.

The Aggies took the field with confidence and determination in game one, and UTSA couldn’t contain A&M at the plate. Softballs were flying over the fence left and right.

Tori Vidales got the ball rolling in the bottom the first inning when she singled through the left side. Kaitlyn Alderink reached next after being hit by a pitch, and Ashley Walters doubled to left center to score them both and give the Aggies a 2-0 lead.

In the bottom of the second, Vidales doubled to center field and came home on an Alderink single one batter later. Most of the excitement occurred in the bottom of the third inning when Kristen Cuyos hit a home run, scoring two. Riley Sartain also hit a home run in the inning to plate two more runs. Miranda Miles capped the rally with a home run to right field. From there, the Aggies cruised to victory.

Texas A&M didn't let up in the day's second contest, beating Georgetown, 7-1.

In the bottom of the first inning, Vidales walked. Alderink followed that with a double to left center to get the Ags on the board. In the bottom of the third inning, Show doubled to right center and eventually scored when Kelbi Fortenberry stepped up to the plate and doubled to center field. Keeli Milligan also muscled a double into right field, scoring Fortenberry. Vidales topped things off with a two-run homer to put Georgetown away.
