On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the spring sports are underway. Men's basketball and women's basketball continue their conference slates and more.


Football
On Tuesday, former Houston wide receiver Jonah Wilson has announced his intentions to transfer to Texas A&M. A 2023 product of Spring Dekaney, the 6-foot-3 wideout hauled in 11 passes for 118 yards and one touchdown over the last two seasons for the Cougars.

Men’s Basketball
After a loss to No. 8 Kentucky, Texas A&M will host unranked LSU on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. They currently sit at 13-4 (0-2 in SEC play).

Women’s Basketball
Texas A&M is back in the win column after overcoming an eight-point deficit with four minutes remaining, 68-83, vs. Georgia. 

The SEC foes were tied 12 times, and the game saw 10 lead changes before A&M's decisive 18-5 run.

Aicha Coulibaly led the late charge with 12 fourth-quarter points. 

Baseball
We are just 28 days from the beginning of the Michael Earley era. A&M will open with Elon on Friday Feb. 14 at Blue Bell Park. 

Softball
Trisha Ford’s third year in Aggieland will off in just 20 days when A&M opens its season with Utah State in the Aggie Classic.

Women’s Tennis
The Maroon & White host their first dual match of the season on Saturday, Jan. 18 vs. Prairie View A&M at 1 p.m. at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

Men’s Tennis
The Aggie men’s tennis will have their home opener against UTSA on Jan. 19.

Track & Field
The Texas A&M track & field team heads on the road for the first time this year as it travels to Texas Tech for the Corky Classic, Jan. 17-Jan. 18. Events on the first day start at 3 p.m., while events on the second day begin at 11 a.m.

The Ags head to Lubbock following a standout showing at home at the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational, where they secured a new school record, 12 event wins, 16 personal bests and nine top-12 marks in team history.

Swim & Dive
The Texas A&M swimming & diving program returns to the Rec Center Natatorium to begin the 2025 slate of the season with dual meets against No. 4 Florida on Saturday and No. 20/16 LSU on Sunday. Action will begin at 11 a.m. on both days, and the Aggies will honor their senior class prior to the meet on Saturday.
