Texas A&M junior WR Speedy Noil declares for the 2017 NFL Draft

After three seasons in Aggieland, Texas A&M junior wide receiver Speedy Noil has announced on Twitter that he will forego his senior season and enter the 2017 NFL Draft.

Noil totaled 88 catches for 1,134 yards and 9 touchdowns since beginning his Aggie career in 2014. He came in as a heralded 5-star recruit, but his time at A&M was plagued with off-the-field issues, including a recent suspension for the Texas Bowl, and he never fully met the expectations throughout his time in College Station.

Speedy is the third underclassman — and third 5-star recruit — who has declared for the 2017 NFL Draft, joining DE Myles Garrett and WR Ricky Seals-Jones. His departure was the most unexpected of the three, and it means that Texas A&M will lose three of its four starting receivers, leaving Christian Kirk as the sole member of that group for 2017.

Good luck Speedy! I wish you nothing but success for your future!
Who's going to assume the rule of biggest underachiever next year with him and RSJ gone?
good luck speedy
Anybody think Sumlin tries to talk him out of it?

Yeah, me neither.
Oh well
Good Luck
RSJ shoulda moved to OLB and become the next William Thomas.

Talk him out of it? He talked him into it!
Speedy and Nacho....two more 4 stars off the books.
Does this help us add another WR in 2017?
This is surprising given Noil's inconsistency and propensity for shenanigans, but good luck to him.
Anybody else think that the coaches possibly nudged him out the door? You can only get suspended so many times before enough is enough. That being said, I hope he can get it turned around and find a home in the league, I'll always support an Ag!
Gig'em Speedy!
Don't let the big doors hit ya where the good Lord split ya.....
What a bust !
But probably with real coaching he'll be a NFL star......

"WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR"........again

I think with Speedy gone, Nacho should reconsider his transfer.I think it would be to his advantage...now.
Johnny found himself a new drinking and smoking buddy
Coaches probably told Speedy you'll have to go to class, quit doping and compete for a starting position......in other words goodbye..
What we need to ask is why we cant develop these players, why they underachieved, why do they want to leave? (Except for Garrett). They are taking for granted that one more year here wont do anything for their draft status. They rather be a 3rd 4th rounder than stay one more year in Aggieland. That's what we need to be worried about RETENTION!!!
Mark my words, he will be the highest football player picked in the draft.

Well put.
Mmmm. OK. I wish all Aggie players well when it time for them to leave the team. Thank you for the contribution to the team. Every little bit helps.

Anyway, he wasn't going to gain much more staying in college and we were not going to be much better with him staying - maybe worse off given his track record - so might as well move on.. Who knows, maybe he'll be a great NFL player... maybe. hope so for his sake.
Good luck
What's the over/under on the number games suspended for violating the leagues substance abuse policy? Good luck to him in the league.
I doubt any pro team will pick him up, he has too much baggage. He may make it as a free agent, I doubt it, again, too much of a troubled past.
Lots of baggage for sure.

Good Luck Speedy. Turn it all around. Gig Em
Yep, this team will miss his inconsistent play, missed games, and yearly suspension. Doesn't matter how talented you are if your a consistent knuckle head. Good luck with that NFL thing.
You'll be missed off the field almost as much as you were on it.
