Texas A&M junior WR Speedy Noil declares for the 2017 NFL Draft
After three seasons in Aggieland, Texas A&M junior wide receiver Speedy Noil has announced on Twitter that he will forego his senior season and enter the 2017 NFL Draft.
Noil totaled 88 catches for 1,134 yards and 9 touchdowns since beginning his Aggie career in 2014. He came in as a heralded 5-star recruit, but his time at A&M was plagued with off-the-field issues, including a recent suspension for the Texas Bowl, and he never fully met the expectations throughout his time in College Station.
Speedy is the third underclassman — and third 5-star recruit — who has declared for the 2017 NFL Draft, joining DE Myles Garrett and WR Ricky Seals-Jones. His departure was the most unexpected of the three, and it means that Texas A&M will lose three of its four starting receivers, leaving Christian Kirk as the sole member of that group for 2017.
