Probably on Jackson and Robinson. I'm not sure on Stansbury. I read a 40 time of his at something like 5.25 a second ago. That's not going to fly if you're only 230.

Stansbury has a more impressive offer list than Robinson. Arkansas and Ole Miss were after stansbury. Are you sure that this is an accurate time? I have a hard time believing he would receive three quality offers like this with a 5.25 40 time.

The time was from Scout and it was a 5.22. As to its accuracy, I have no idea (anything not timed electronically isn't going to be accurate) It certainly isn't a great omen though.

As to the other offers, who knows. Ole Miss picked up 34 commitments last year, and Arkansas has been throwing a lot of offers out. I'm not sure the situation or their strategy.

Talking to my buddy last week from 'bama he apparently the SEC couldn't be happier about our recruiting. Taking a little of the carpet out from under LSU should open up the SEC west.

Apples and oranges. Ole Miss signed guys that had no chance of qualifying academically. This is not a reflection of their athletic ability.

But y'all don't do louisiana recruit rankings... so how is this other site a competing one?
Or do they have a texas recruit ranking as well?

More than most, definitely, but everyone does. It still means they're throwing out a lot of offers.

I assume staff doesn't want people giving a link to a rival site and thus sending hit their way and thus boosting their advertising revenue.

then they should do a ranking of La recruits. Pretty petty.

A service providing ranking of Louisiana recruits is not a competing service.

I think what staff is saying that if you want rankings of Lousiana recruits you need to use an ESPN affiliate website.....not one from the Rivals network. I link I had up went to a rivals team site not an ESPN one.

I think Fobbs is done though, he has good connections here with Jon Stewart and his brother. Only reason I see him leaving is if we get blown up on the field next year. we'll see. He's a great player.

LSU offered Jarrett Fobbs but only as a DB. Fobbs has made it clear that he wants to play on offense, so he ignored their offer. We offered him as a WR, and he took it. That, plus the connection with Stewart as CavJock mentioned suggests some strong connections to Aggieland.

We're damn glad to have him and can't wait to see what he does at Kyle Field.

Qualify what you mean by "I'm hearing" or go find another hobby.

If I had been able to click on the link to quickly see the list I probably would have looked at it for 2 minutes and closed it returning here...since I had to explore the site to find the list I ended up spending a good 20 minutes looking at various content over there....

I am not here to get into a pissing contest! Although the amount of derogatory remarks about the state that I grew up in and where my family still lives is a little much, I for one am glad to see Louisiana players get the opportunity to play college football and receive a great education. It does not matter if LSU did not offer these kids, they are still good players and will do well at A&M. I for one would rather see these kids at A&M then at other SEC schools. I just hope that they and the state that their families live in are shown a little more respect than what is shown here. Thank you!
