This was my wife and I too. Very mild "cold" to start and then severe sore throat, constant cough (completely lost my voice) for 2-3 days (days 7 & 8).
We are at day 10 today.
9 and 10 are much better but slight cough and congestion/head pressure.

Anyone have any lymph node problems?

Woke up this morning with my right armpit fully swollen and a solid hard knot in the middle of the swelling that's red. Can't tell if COVID is making a run for the lymph nodes now, if it's related to my pregnancy, or if my immune system crashed and I've picked up an unrelated infection. I am so done with being sick and/or miserable.

Pretty sure I have COVID, everyone at our Christmas ended up getting it, just waiting on my test to confirm.

Yesterday I went for a run and was breathing in a lot of cold air, as soon as I got home I had a sore throat and was coughing, I figured that was just from the air.

Cough went away, sore throat has persisted. Today I'm running a mild fever at 99.6, mostly feel tired and like my head is being squeezed. No headache, just pressure.

I'm also fully vaccinated.

The headache has been back for me today. I feel like I have a sinus infection. Slight congestion in my chest. That's it. I'm still tired.

Day 9 or 10.

Any chance you got vaccine or booster recently? I know that is one of the less common side effects. We know this because last June a mass showed up on my wife's mammogram and we were actually praying that it was "just" a vaccine reaction. It wasn't, unfortunately.

No, vaccine was last Feb/Mar. Never got my booster. Did have a monoclonal antibody infusion on 12/24 in that arm. Day 17 from having symptoms; 15 from my positive test.

January 2: Sore throat, dry cough, aches, night sweats
January 3: Fatigue, dry cough intensified, sore throat still present, chest pain like someone was stepping on it.
January 4: Dry cough same, fatigue, sore throat better, chest pain same.
Jan. 5 - all symptoms better. Still have fatigue and cough, but neither as severe. Congestion and brain "fog" are probably the most notable/annoying at this point.
Jan. 6 - Slept well last night. I have only coughed once this morning. I have some sinus pressure (including ear blockage) and still get a little winded with activity, but most of the other symptoms have resolved. Brain fog still present, but not as bad as previous days.
Jan. 7 - Some mild night sweats the night before. Congestion as cleared up. Fatigue and general malaise still present, but mild. Still feel "off", but was able to have a productive day.

At this point, I'll say I'm good and not provide any further updates. If it helps, my wife had fever the first 2 days, and congestion for 4 days after. She is run down too. Everyone is snippy.

Two kids (5 and 3). The 5 year old had a runny nose for 2 days and a slight rash. 3 year old showed no symptoms.

2x vax (Moderna), no booster.
Life's an endless party, not a punch card.

I had the horrible sore throat for about 2 1/2 days, but I never got any of the fatigue so many talk about with COVID.

The lymph nodes on the left side of my neck and armpit (neck were the worst) were swollen and hard a few days prior to onset of symptoms and the first few days of symptoms. Has gotten better now but they were painful at the time.
Non-vaxxed.
I will say, every time I have any kind of viral illness my lymph nodes go into overdrive.

Day 7 - cough has gone away for the most part. Still congested. Noticed ive lost some taste (and maybe smell? I cant smell anyways)

Day 8 - taste is gone. This may be the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

The only weird new thing is that I feel like I can smell my body and it smells like rank BO, so I've been showering multiple times a day. Not sure if it's sweat related or part of the nose issue.
I had a similar experience. The unpleasant smell is not like anything I have ever encountered. It eventually disappeared after a few weeks.

Day 9. Have gone from a flu/pneumonia feeling to now more of a heavy cold/sinus congestion. I hadn't had a fever in 2 days but randomly have one this morning. I thought fever was over with since I woke up sweating yesterday morning. Dry cough remains at times. Still get gassed if I need to walk around. Taste and smell still gone since day 5.

Day 1). General "off" feeling.
Day 2). Woke up with a major headache. Fatigued. Feels like a sinus infection
Day 3). Soar throat developed. Slight cough. Low grade fever. Slept most of the day. Felt pretty good before bed.
Day 4). OMG Throat hurts so much my ears itch. Slight pain in the lungs when coughing.

Day 9 - Can't taste sweets, but salt is amplified like crazy. Cough still pops up every few hours but not much to it. Congested when I wake up but dissipates pretty quickly. Not achy anymore. No longer on day-time meds - feel fine until around 4pm or so then start feeling general uneasiness but nothing terrible. My goal is to hunker down for the weekend and be back out doing light runs on the trail by Monday.

I guess I'll check back in here though my case is extremely mild and almost not worth mentioning.

I'm on Day 7 today (Friday) and have nothing but a bit of a runny nose left.

On Wednesday I decided that the spot in my throat (I still have my tonsils so it's on my left tonsil) was a little more sore. So, I got on with the Tele-Doc and got an antibiotic. Started it Wednesday night. The sore is gone now.

I'm happy to say that my parents haven't gotten sick at all (vaxed and boosted, they're in their 80s and my mom has bad lungs), and Mr. Geo has avoided it too. He got his Moderna booster Wednesday morning, just to be as safe as possible before starting a new job Monday.

I tend to be the one who gets everything for some reason, so I'm feeling very happy that even though I got it, I never had a cough, never had fatigue, never lost taste or smell, and never really felt that bad after the initial aches the first 24 hours (which compared with the flu I had several years ago was mild). Plus, it seems that I didn't pass it along to anyone. Win win.

Wednesday- had some general body soreness but wrote it off to getting back into the gym after the holidays. I would cough occasionally throughout the day but never anything worse than cleaning throat due to allergies. Late in day though skin started aching which always accompanies a fever for me. Was running a 100-101 fever by Wed night.

Thursday- cough started up a little more, fatigue was pretty bad, fever off and on. Sweat through sheets over night, and throughout the day too. Got out and got tested in the afternoon. Came back as positive on Friday (PCR)

Friday- repeat of Thursday, but not as bad.

Today- fever seems to be gone, lingering headache. Wife and daughter seem to be showing initial symptoms so hoping I'm over it by now so I can help them out.

Day 10 - about the same as far as light cough. Taste still muted. First day i felt good enough to go out and run errands and now at 930 absolutely exhausted despite not doing a whole heck of a lot. Still going to try and do a light run on Monday but fully prepared to cut it short if needed.

Vaxxed, not boosted, third trimester pregnant.

Saturday, Dec 18: Kiddo wakes me up at 4am when the storms roll in. I start coughing which isn't unusual for me in rain storms. We have a bay window window that gets musty when it rains. My in-laws were coming in a few days so I had been busting butt to get the house clean and all the Christmas stuff one has to do before the kids were out of school. I spent Saturday exhausted and drained, but stopped coughing once I got out of bed.

Sunday, Dec 19: Woke up feeling pretty good. Got more deep cleaning done. Sent the kids to my parents for the day so we could use the good chemicals to clean. They came back in the evening, I laid down in bed to watch them take a bath around 6pm… physically couldn't get up after that. Husband had to do bedtime which he grumbled about. I took my temperature and it was 99.6. I fell asleep shortly thereafter.

Monday, Dec 20, 3am: I woke up with the worst sinus pressure I've ever had. Temp was hanging out right about 100 (highest it got was 100.3). I wanted to pull out all my teeth. My mouth was so dry it had a layer of white film. I got in the bath and all I could do was cry because my head hurt so much. Regular Tylenol couldn't touch it and that's all the pain medicine I'm allowed during pregnancy without calling the OB first to clear it. Finally around 5-6am I fell asleep in bed sitting up and managed a few hours of sleep. Tested around 10am and it was positive. Sinus pressure continued through the day but was a little better when I was sitting up/moving around.

Tuesday, Dec 21: That night was equally bad and now I was getting sores in my mouth and cracking on my lips from the dry mouth. I could drink 100oz of water during the day and it did nothing for me. Still never got a true fever. Just a lot of congestion and coughing. Never got a sore throat either. Lungs hurt a little bit at the end of today and I started to worry it was going to turn. Never did though.

Wednesday, Dec 22: Lost taste and smell and brain fog set in hard. I couldn't function for more then 10-20 minutes at a time. Light hurt. Sound hurt. I couldn't watch a whole 30 minute TV show. Couldn't play a video game with the kids on the other side of the living room. Lots of napping. Sinuses started to get better though and I could sleep a little more at night.

Thursday & Friday: more of the same as Wednesday. The cold symptoms got to about 60% better and just stopped improving. Brain fog was getting a little worse and was starting to scare me. I was scheduled for monoclonal antibodies at 4pm on Friday and I couldn't drive there myself safely. However, those were a godsend. I hate that it's been weaponized and politicalized. I really think I would have been hospitalized without those because there was no other mechanism to get better. When I got back in the car, I wanted food which is the first time I had been hungry in a few days. My husband said in the drive-thru that I seemed more alert and less like a puddle of goo.

Today, Thursday, Dec 30: still coughing a little, still sneezing and stuffy but it's more on a manageable "allergy" type level. Mouth is still dry, but the cracks and sores have healed. Taste is trying to come back, I could tell the difference between a Diet Coke and a Pepsi today. Smell is still gone. I still have to take a nap in the afternoon or I throw up and get very dizzy, basically my body forces me to lie down. I would say I'm at 80% now. I have no desire to be around people. The thought of getting sick again makes me anxious. I plan on riding that out until the birth in February and if I'm still struggling with it, reach out to my OB. I do feel mentally garbled from the whole thing, but I'm still insanely drained. I would consider my case moderate: more then just a cold, but the lack of fever really helped. I had a flu 10 years ago where I was a lot sicker for a quick period of time and that's because I had a 103 fever for 48 hours. This is the longest I've been sick with one thing. I will be completely honest, I didn't think COVID would affect me this badly. I don't know how it would have gone for me unvaccinated knowing that I got ass whooped this much.

Your timeline is so similar to mine that I'm worried I'm pregnant

Just gonna add, I'm at day 18. Functioning totally normal most days, a bit of fatigue hits me here and there, but I still have these gunky single-coughs intermittently throughout the day (probably every hour during sleep) that are driving me crazy. Claritin and other OTCs won't knock it out so just waiting out father time I guess.

Thank you too everyone for the support in this thread. Going through COVID is frightening, and reading what else everyone is having to deal with is helpful. This thread helped me know what to expect our anticipate. It's interesting that sooner people have the same experiences and for others it vastly differs.

So, here's my update on Day 13. I'm pretty much back to normal. I have slight lingering congestion, like I do with normal allergies. I have limited fatigue, but I had a nasty week of work. My taste is coming back. It's not completely there. I can taste some things, but not others. It's strange, but I think it will come back.

My wife is still struggling with a cough, but it's getting better.

Good luck to all who are fighting the fight.

I'm currently on Day 9 and my symptoms have been mild. I'm vaxxed and boosted with Moderna.

Day 1 & 2: woke up with severe lower leg cramps. They were awful, but didn't last long. Both mornings I took ibuprofen and went about my day. I also remember on Day 2 I was talking to someone at church and had a full body shiver. But it just happened once and a cold front had come in, so I just thought it was due to being a bit chilly.

Day 3: no leg cramps and maybe had a little congestion/sinus pressure. Assumed allergies. But, my 2 daughters had pretty nasty coughs, so I made appointment with their pediatrician to be checked out and get tested before school started again. Took my son too. Pediatrician offered to test all 4 of us and they were negative and I was positive!

Day 4: worse day for me. Fatigue, brain fog, headache, sinus pressure, achy, runny nose

Day 5: very minor headache and achy joints

Day 6: felt pretty good all day; still had achy joints and some congestion

Day 7: felt good for most part. Had a little bit of a sore throat but it wasn't persistent. Think it's more from congestion than anything else.

Day 8: same as day 7. Had a very minor cough. (If I didn't know I had covid, would have just thought I just needed to clear my throat)

I've never had fever or anything that felt worse than a cold. My kids and husband all tested negative again on my Day 6 and so I'm praying that they remain negative!

My symptoms started last Saturday, so this would be day 8 for me, but I'm totally over it and haven't had any symptoms for a couple of days now. Thankfully I never had any bad symptoms, everything was very mild.

Unfortunately, Mr. Geo started running a fever last night, and had the aches and cough, too, so we're assuming he's got it (not going to bother with a test). He's vaxed with Moderna, but just got his booster Wednesday, so I hope it has time to help. This morning the fever broke and he's feeling a lot better already, so maybe the vaccine-taught immune response is kicking in as it did for me. I'm still shocked it took so long for him to get it.

I'm thinking my parents will both get it sometime this week, but I hope not. They're both vaxed and boosted, but Mom has very bad lungs (coughs all the time anyway), so I don't know how it might affect her.

Wait, we can go out and do errands with this crap? I am so tired from being cooped up in my bedroom. Went and got a chair off the porch today to watch football (NFL is pretty awful but at least it's football). The bed was just not an option for 3rd day in a row.

I feel fine, but certainly still have mild symptoms (little drainage, cough is better, eyes glassy and blurry). This is day 5 since fever was initially detected.

I have read day 6 I can get out with Mask on but have seen conflicting info. Some say if no more symptoms only. Well what is considered symptoms because I understand the fatigue and cough could be around for weeks?

My doctor said no fever, no meds for 24 hours. You can still cough but it must have changed. So if you've got a barky cough, it's got to be reduced to regular cough. If you're hacking gunk up, gunk has to go away.

You have to wear a mask, it should be KN95 or N95, fitted properly. Anything else needs to double mask. You should put your mask on at home, wash your hands afterwards, and don't take it back off until your home again. Don't eat or drink anywhere.

(Now how many people follow all that, doubtful).

Mr. Geo had no symptoms when he went out Wednesday, and he just went to Walgreens for the vax and straight back home. He didn't start getting sick till last night.

I haven't been anywhere since testing positive even though I haven't had a fever or real symptoms for several days now. I was expecting to be able to go to church this morning, but when Mr. G got sick last night we both stayed home today.

The guidelines are a little unclear. I thought I saw where Dr. Rev said that you could treat it like any other illness. 24 hours without fever and you're good... but who really knows at this point?

Yeah, guidelines are basically after 5 days if you are no longer running a fever you are fine going out in public as long as you are wearing a mask.

We were appliance shopping at HomeDepot/Lowes so pretty easy to not be in close contact with people.

Day 1- Morning started with lower back pain I attributed to leg workout day prior. That afternoon, I got the chills and aches and pains all over (especially in my ankles and wrists)

Day 2- Fever and just and overall feeling of being sick. Cough and congestion also started on day 2 along with horrible night sweats.

Day 4- still feeling crummy but had been 24 hours with no fever so I went into work to pay bills and employees.

Day 6- still honestly just not feeling good. Cough had worsened and the night sweats continued.

Day 7 (today)- woke up feeling back to normal other than a productive cough still. Really quite surprised at how much I've been able to cough up. I was honestly going to go to the doctor tomorrow if I didn't start feeling better today.

This was my second fight with Covid since July 2020. First fight I felt much worse but for only a few days. Hopefully this is the last time I ever have to deal with this nonsense.

In unvaxxed btw and plan to keep it that way and let my body develop its own immunity. It's done a really good job so far.

No doctor...but if you are having mild cold symptoms....would just continue to load up on vitamins, etc and treat symptoms as necessary.

One of the "fun" things about the timing of this is just it is blending with all the natural / normal winter stuff. Maybe that is playing your situation too light but we had COVID in our family just before Xmas and we all recovered and my wife had 4+ really good days of ZERO symptoms and then got some winter cold but then bounced back and has been good ever since....

I'm 24 days out and only here in the last week have I started to feel consistently normal again. My sinuses got absolutely wrecked from COVID, so I feel like part of the lag was just them healing. I still cough more then I did pre-COVID, especially if I have to talk for an extended period of time or if someone makes me laugh. I joke with my husband that I sound like a pack a day smoker. But I can breathe consistently without congestion or my nose burning and my lungs feel good and clear.

I am still really tired, to the point of non-functioning at times, but also am 36 weeks pregnant. I still don't feel like I'm as active as I was pre-COVID. But I'm assuming all the symptoms have just kind of blurred together at this point and I'll never get back to 100% until I have the baby.

day 6 update- seem to be pretty much over it at this point. Occasionally will have a phlegmy cough, and my head will occasionally feel a bit spaced out. Also every now and then when i take a deep breath, breathing feels like I had done something strenuous in the freezing cold. But overall around 95% i think at this point.

Edit: it seems like at some point this afternoon my sense of smell went down to maybe 5-10% of normal. I went to feed my dog, opened the food container and got a whiff of … nothing. Taste is still ok, muted but not gone.

Day 0 (start of symptoms): Woke up with a bad sore throat and runny nose, plus extreme fatigue. Started feeling just generally bad as the day progressed.
Day 1: Low grade fever and cough (both very rare for me), sore throat was gone, all other symptoms persisted. Brain fog too I guess, though it was hard to discern from the fatigue. Went and took test at a Curative kiosk.
Day 2: Started to feel better, but still had a cough, fever, fatigue, runny nose.
Day 3: Continued to improve with no more fever. Going up/down stairs would get my heart pounding and the fatigue would come in waves. I would think I felt good enough to sit down at the computer and do some work, but then be unable to do any more than stare at the screen.
Day 4: More of day 3. Pretty much the exact same.
Day 5: Cough/runny nose finally under control but still present. Finally starting to feel like the generally sick feeling has passed. Got tested again (positive still). Never lost taste, but now noticed smell is at about 50% or less.
Day 6: More of day 5, with the addition of extremely dry sinuses. Like it feels like I'm breathing in below-freezing air. Headache too but it feels related to the sinus pain. Rapid test came back positive still.
Day 7 (today): Really all I have left is the extreme dry sinus pain and reduced sense of smell. Wearing a mask helps because it creates some humidity. Today is the first day that my lymph nodes have been swollen/painful.

I been sick since Friday , tonight I just took
https://zstacklife.com/products/z-stack $55

It has Vit C D3 Zinc and quercetin
It might be sold out I got this for my mom several months ago
Sometimes with vitamins I do only half
Like if they say take 2 I take 1 if I feel like I don't need more. It's like how I drink alcohol I might wait till later and have more depending on how good I feel, I guess if you're 255 lbs you should take 2 bc it'll take more to get an effective nutrient to body mass ratio
Get well and strong health everybody

Quercetin was discovered by the Nobel Prize winner Albert Szent-Gyorgyi. Quercetin, a zinc ionophore, is known for its antioxidant activity, antiviral activity, and more.

Quercetin has a number of great health-promoting benefits. Peer reviewed literature shows potential benefits of Quercetin include the ability to help reduce inflammation and to improve the immune system.

The scientific community has published a significant amount of research on quercetin, including clinical trials

Mr. Geo is on Day 2.

He started running a fever late Saturday night. It broke Sunday morning early and hasn't come back.

At this point, he has a slight cough, but it's not productive and not constant or anything.

He never took anything but one dose of NyQuil Saturday night.

He's vaxed and boosted, and takes vitamins, but no other medicines (other than his high blood pressure med).

So far the octogenarians haven't gotten it.

Anecdote: Two vaccinated individuals only had a few hours of aches and fevers. Feeling happy about our decision to vaccinate, especially considering our age and health status. YMMV
