I think it finally found me.

Started coughing yesterday and then hit a low grade fever at dinner. After dinner my fever hit 101 and I could feel it throughout my body. Fever broke overnight and I still have the cough with some aches and a slight headache.

Looking for a place to test so that I can put the wife and kids mind at ease but no luck.

Good luck finding a test. May have to either spend a lot to go to Urgent Care or wait in long lines for drive thru place (google to find lol).

I drove by a test site last night (drive thru) and the wait was about half a mile long and traffic managed by cops. I drove by again this AM and already a line.

Between omicron and the new Biden testing mandates and lack of testing availability there is a massive shortage.

Called my dr and they are getting me in but it's a pcr and won't have results for a few days.

I tried every CVS and Walgreens from prosper to coppell

Try Curative. Not sure where you are but the Bear Branch location in The Woodlands returns results in 2 hours. Most locations take walk-ups during their open hours. Our family had good experiences with them last week.

I have heard of people who had their primary doctors not even be able to get them in for a test so glad you were able to get one with your doctor....but as we all know....what is crazy....is there is a high probability by the time you get the results back you could be either on the mend or maybe 1 day removed from being so (at least we all hope).

If you're willing to drive up to northeast Frisco this urgent care we have used many times as a 10am rapid time available, as of the time I am posting this. They go quick.

Thanks. I was able to get a rapid at the Quick MD on Westridge/Independence. It took about 20 minutes.

The test game back negative but I got back home and had a 102.4 fever(w ibuprofen) hit that didn't clear till about 9pm. I also had a massive headache that is still lingering. I assume that it was either a missed positive or I have the flu.

Did they not test for the flu?
I thought I had Covid last week and my doctor tested for Covid, flu, and strep. I was shocked when strep was the only positive because my throat wasn't very sore at all.
Regardless, I hope you feel better soon.
