Feel like the new Rona got me been feeling like crap since Thursday night. Have been staying hydrated with a cocktail of meds. Just can't stand this sore throat.. Christmas already ruined

I got vaccinated with 2 doses of Pfizer a while ago

Have you been vaccinated? The people I know who have been vaccinated are sick for two days or less. My unvaccinated friends are 4-5 days with this version. YMMV, of course.

Stay hydrated. That's what helped my daughter when she had it. Hope you feel better soon

I know a few with it. Most had 1 or 2 days that were fever/chills/moderate symptoms and most felt a bit better by day 3 but several of those had about 7 or 8 following days of nagging mild symptoms (runny nose, head congestion)

Vaccinated, no booster.

Going on 7 days of feeling crappy. Didn't start to have a solid turn around until I got a monoclonal antibody infusion. Still needed two naps today and sitting with the family for more then 30 minutes or so wipes me out.

First couple of days was the worst sinus infection I ever had, then it settled into bad exhaustion, headaches, constant dry mouth, and brain fog. Taste and smell left the building on Day 4.

All 4 of us in our household tested positive this week. My husband and I both got vaccinated in the spring with Moderna but did not get the booster. Our kids (12 & 14) that live with us are not vaccinated. My husband had no symptoms. I had a cough and a little sinus congestion for 2 days. My 14 year old had body aches one day and a sore throat for 2 days. 12 year old got a headache for one night. My stepdaughter, who is in college, and doesn't live with us also tested positive this week. She is also vaccinated and she had a sore throat and a cough. Everyone feels fine today and we all tested positive Wednesday (my husband and I) or Thursday (the kids). Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. I am staying hydrated with vitamins and I am vaccinated. This sore throat is just what is killing me . This stuff is spreading like wild fire. My wife had it a few days before me but different symptoms. Should of saw it coming, but atleast she can take care of me since she's immune to me ha

I used Vicks VapoCool spray for my son's sore throat pain. Seems to help if you have someone who can pick some up for you. That and hot tea with honey. Hopefully it will pass soon.

The wife got me a stupid amount of stuff from Walgreens today, I have some these Vicks severe sore throat drops. They've been helping, along with pedialite and vitamin C/zinc powder to mix in water.

I got COVID after being in CS for my sons graduation this past weekend. Our whole group got it. All of us are vaccinated, but did not get the booster. Started with severe burning eyes and fever. Then congestion for two days, now the worst sore throat I've ever had. The sore throat is bad during the day, but at night feels like knives. Just keep drinking tea and sucking on cough drops.

Vaxxed with Moderna but not boosted. Day 4 here. Doc assumed I had the flu but I tested positive for covid instead. Apparently at 42 I am "too young and healthy" for the antibody treatment. The sore throat and resulting coughing have been the worst. Fever broke after two days. Body aches also went away after two days. It hurts to talk and I cough when I do; however, I don't have much of a voice anyway right now. Constant fatigue. I don't remember the last time I slept this much.

Pick up some chamomile tea, add honey. I usually do this when I have sore throats and does wonders, helps with dough too. Anti-inflammatory properties. It's also a relaxant to help you fall asleep at night.

Super immunity here,lol, recovered from Covid Oct 2020 and vaxxed sept 2021. Picked up Covid for second time around the 18th Dec. sinus stuff and mild cough for 3 days then all better.

The vaccines cannot prevent infection, cannot prevent transmission, cannot prevent hospitalization and cannot prevent death. They may mitigate all the above, but it's a crap shoot at best.

The vaccines are not enough. Prevention, early treatment and early therapeutics added to the mix can be effective.

Unless you get tested, you don't know it's Covid. It very well may not be Covid. Covid gave me no sore throat at all. But I've had other illnesses that have. Some really hurt so I know what you're going through on that end. I hate bad sore throats. Best thing is to do a doctor on demand if your insurance allows. They can try to rule out the need for a Covid test. Also, can get you treatment ASAP. If not, your doctor's office should be open Monday so if you still have a sore throat tomorrow, get it looked at.

Day 1 - scratchy throat, 101 fever, chills, body ache, headache burning inner nose at throat

Day 2 - sore throat, back rib cage pain, dreams all night trying to solve or reconcile something that makes no sense
In the first place.

Day 3 - repeat of day 2

Day 4 - repeat of day 2 except knives sore throat

Today - repeat of day 2

One Moderna shot and COVID positive with 5 others close to me having exact symptoms and positive tests.

Thank you very much. I haven't been sick at all in about 15 years, so I was due.

This variant isn't horrible...two older kids mid to late 20s had delta in Sep...they suffered 10 days+ pretty severely so I consider myself lucky.

Wife and 6 year old are negative and have not distanced even a little from me.

Wife and I had Covid Nov 2020, oldest son Sept 2020, youngest Jan 2021.

Nobody is vaccinated. Oldest sick last week (started feeling achy and tired on Sunday a week ago, tested positive Tuesday. We've all been in the house together for Christmas. Oldest felt 180-degrees better on Wednesday. So far nobody else feels sick.

Still not getting vaxxed.
