Also, since you took two tests won't they both be reported as positive tests? That's also increasing the "case" count, if so.

No since you don't report the antigen tests you take at home. Some of you just don't think things through.

Yea there is just no way they can deconflict that. We just don't have the technology

It would probably be very difficult for our government to come up with a way to filter out repeat tests of the same infected individual with sufficient reliability. If the tests are coming from the same source then that source could send only one result, but if an infected individual is tested at multiple locations that are independently sending in the results, with millions of tests being done per day, there is a high probability that both tests end up counted.

You have way too much faith in government.

If they are PCR tested at two places then yes both would go into the data; however, the OP took a home antigen test and then had it confirmed via PCR at his doctor or a pharmacy. So there is only one test going into the data base. This isn't hard for most but you don't seem to grasp it.

Haha! On top of that antigen tests don't even count in TX. Has to be PCR.

Its incredible to watch the spread as it unfolds.

Thank God by all means it seems to be very mild overall.

I'm hoping having been vaccinated and now probably having Omicron, that I will have super immunity and can put this behind me. Feel pretty good today, but still fatigued. Woke up this morning with the "knives in throat" symptom, but gone now. First 2 days were no joke though, sever fatigue, random sweating especially at night, high fever. Think I am on road to recovery. I never get sick and of course this has to happen on my week off work / vacation.

I have the same hopes..

Inlaws tested positive by pcr. Wife and youngest have fever and mild symptoms and tested positive by the home test today.

Oldest and I have allergy like symptoms only so far. Can't find any more home tests, so we'll just assume I guess.

Pretty much, I guess. I haven't had any of the prototypical Covid symptoms that are prevalent in prior variants. I'm also fully vaccinated, but omicron is bypassing those.

You sure?

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that of the 43 cases attributed to Omicron variant, 34 people had been fully vaccinated.
I think he means that Omicron is bypassing the vaccines. So he's agreeing with you.
