Oh, there are still those out there that will put their life on hold for a sniffle or two. I wouldn't cancel plans if my kids didn't have a fever.
My 17-yr-old woke up Monday morning with typical viral symptoms - fever (100.8), headache, sore throat. Normally, I would not have thought twice about not seeing a doctor and just keeping her home until her fever was gone. But she works part-time at Whataburger and they wanted a doctor's note, especially since it was just a couple hours before her shift was scheduled to start. Her symptoms definitely did not warrant a trip to the pediatrician so I took her for a walk-up COVID test to prove she was negative and could go back to work the following day. The PCR test was positive, so at least she doesn't have to work Christmas Eve. Thankfully, her symptoms are still mild and her fever is gone.Quote:
