When I say "it's about power" I mean citizens wanting to coerce their neighbors into getting vaccinated because they are just so darn sure they're right. It doesn't matter that there's no reason to coerce or force an otherwise healthy 25 year old to get vaccinated, many people just want to feel that sense of power when they're able to pressure or force the 25 year old into doing it. It's pretty pathetic, but I believe it's why a lot of people are so supportive of the idea of vaccine passports or otherwise making life more intolerable for the dirty unvaccinated (i.e. holding normalcy hostage).

As for who's behind the messaging that gets citizens to turn on each other like that, it's the folks making all the money off getting as many people vaccinated as possible, whether it's an 85 year old that genuinely should be vaccinated or an otherwise healthy 25 year old that already has immunity from prior infection and gains effectively nothing from being vaccinated.

It's about money for the elites and power for the serfs.

Ok, so it's nonsense underneath the surface too.

I don't ask that people get vaccinated so that I can feel powerful. I do it because I believe, or at least hope, that every reassuring voice helps in the fight to get more people vaccinated. And the more people that are vaccinated, the less death and sickness we have, and the less strain we will put on hospitals.

This is such a sad story. But not gonna lie, it also makes me very angry. This man let his arrogance, irresponsibility, and selfishness trump the well-being of himself and his family. That is the real tragedy here.

This guy has a wife and 3 young children who depend on him with a 4th due in a month. Instead of being responsible, swallowing his pride, and getting the vaccine to protect himself and his family, he takes his chances. Not only that, but he self-medicated after getting the virus and refused medical treatment until he (presumably) had no choice but to do so.

I simply cannot imagine forgoing both the vaccine and treatment when you have an entire family who needs you. Now his 8 months pregnant wife is left to provide for their kids on her own, and now gets to take on a bunch of medical debt just because her late husband was too arrogant to take a vaccine or seek proper medical treatment when he needed it.

It's just insane to me. If he took the vax he'd almost certainly be here today. I'm not celebrating his death. That would be evil. This is tragic for him and his family. But dammit, this does make me angry.

With states like Arizona turning D for the first time in decades by a slim margin, and Georgia also being a very slim margin....it's not hard to imagine it impacting elections in the future.

The problem with this article and so much of what we hear about is lumping together people that oppose masks and closures with those opposing the vaccine. Only one of those is proven to work and that is the vaccine. I think most people are in the group that support vaccination but not the rest, yet we only hear about the extremes.

There's montages on the internet everywhere. I don't really care, my personal health decisions have zero to do with what Trump, Biden, Kamala or any other politician has said. I just find the implication that the libs are performing jedi mind tricks on the dumb anti vax neo cons to be fairly entertaining. The whole thing has been politicized, but it's not any one party's fault.

This is the part I really struggle with. The fact that you're risking the future with your family, raising your kids etc., over a likely misplaced ideal is really and eye opener and shows how far each side has dug in.

The picture is even worse then you painted. There is a GoFundMe for his family . His arrogance left them in need of charity when his tough guy opinions may make that harder to come by. I too feel both sad and angry. Sad for the family left behind in terrible straights and angry he wouldn't avail himself of the most simple steps to safe guard their future as any parent ought to do. It gets worse the more I think about it. His poor wife has THREE young children she has to provide for and is about to give birth. I feel awful for all of them as they did not ask for this.

I have always been critical of this bull**** "tough guy" act I constantly see from men who refuse to get the vaccine because vaccines are for the weak and covid is just a cold. I dont know for a fact that he was like this but I see this attitude from many of the men who are anti-mask, anti-vax, anti-restrictions. A short moment of humility could have saved his life. This virus truly does not give a **** what your opinion of it is, or how tough you are.

First off, great job of losing weight and getting healthier. However, I think you just proved the other poster's point. If you got covid and died today you would still be considered overweight due to your 29 bmi.
