I use to live in Nottingham. I wouldn't be worried about the bayou levels. You guys are at a higher elevation. It won't cross memorial IMO. Pushing south towards Westheimer

Hey Catfish- I traveled down Britoak earlier (9pm). Completely dry. The power went off at about 5-6pm though. South of Memorial is under water, but Kirkwood between I-10 and Memorial is very clear in both neighborhoods to each side.

Well the reason I ask is because we have water rising on our streets, so I guess the release is pushing water back out our storm drains... we now have water over the curb and its rising

Still no power in Winchester. But dry as can be so far. Precautionary it seems

that seems consistent with the rise expected at the press conference tonight for the areas west of Dairy Ashford and the beltway. I hope it stays away from their house

I'm north of westheimer a few blocks just east of dairy Ashford. Still no water in street. You think this release will get water all the way down to westheimer, several feet high?

I don't think it will reach westheimer much less add several feet.

Our friends in westchester (southwest quadrant of Memorial & Dairy Ashford) say water is rushing in due to the releases. Said water is flooding the streets at a pace of one house per hour.

There is 6" and going on wickersham, first Street north of Westheimer.

Hope that's the extent.

I'm in Wilchester West two streets north of Memorial. The water is rising out of the drains and has been all day. I finally had to make the call to get the wife and kids out and shut down the power. I just went back to get a few additional items and it's at the curb rising about an inch an hour. After the off and on scares and sighs of relief at this point I'm just tired. Moved in two months ago. It's going to be a long several months I'm afraid.

Most of Thornwood ok as of 4 hrs ago. Water in the back streets closest to cemetery. Not much water elsewhere but it was creeping down Thornbranch from the north. Power still out which we expect to be for awhile.

We live on Kimberley closest to Memorial so these next 24-48 hrs are going to be gut-wrenching.

Pinerock and Yorkchester - in the culde sac

Asking for any information on Forest Home Dr. which is between Barker and Addicks spillway. Noticed some people in the nearby Eldridge & Briar Forest Kroger, but last I heard of my street it was flooded and I'm terrified that the water release from Barker is gonna reach into my home.

EDIT: Found this on the US Army Corps of Engineers site, proyected inundation. According to them "The illustrations depict modeling from what we projected early Aug. 29 before we increased our releases to 7000 and 6000 at Addicks and Barker Dams. Areas depicted in green are currently not flooded, as previously predicted due to the increased releases. (Photo by USACE Galveston)"

We left for Katy for the night....not because of flooding, but for AC/power.

We drove the neighborhood when we left around 7pm and the only flooding was in the far NW corner of Thronwood along La Quinta. I've heard that it's possibly moved one street over to Greenpark. We really need the bayou to start draining downstream.

We live on the culdesac of Pinesap.

The water is starting to get closer to me now in Walnut Bend due to this release. In terms of the release itself, they said they are increasing it 16000cfs. That is a flow rate, not a total amount. Is this an ongoing increase that will last a while or a temporary to get the reservoir down to a certain level? If it is ongoing they are going to flood a lot of people soon at the rate the water is rising right now!

Are you talking about next to the reservoirs?

Somewhat. Talking about the increase to 16,000cfs they are now increasing Barker to which is flooding buffalo bayou right now. Houses are slowly flooding as I type this and the water is moving closer my way. If this goes all night I am going to be in trouble along with many others. I'm not saying that is the case, they just weren't clear how long they were going to open the reservoir to the level. The Cajun Navy has 60 boats getting ready to help people because of this increase.

I would say if it gets within a few blocks of you then you need to leave immediately. They released the water knowing it would flood surrounding neighborhoods.

Dairy Ashford gauge seems to have leveled off and BW8 gauge has actually dropped in the last few hours. I'm hoping this means we're at max levels for now, but I'm definitely not sleeping comfortably until the water is out of my street, especially since they said they were going to keep increasing the outflows and we have no clue what rate they are at right now.
