My interpretation is the flooding is going to continue in its current state for many more hours, if not days, to come. However, doesn't look like it will get any worse.
I personally don't have any concerns about Addicks Dam"failing".

I believe it is Beech Landing Lane.
Lindner on the press conference just now said expect some water to overflow the Addicks on the west side of Brittmore tonight and flow south to buffalo bayou. Streets will flood and possibly some homes.

okay, my cousin is on Grand Hollow which is on the other side of the ditch from there about three streets over
Their street probably looks similar. Hope they got out okay before flooding got too bad.

Peaked at 4:30 this morning and has remained right around 109 since this morning. Jeff just wrapped up his press conference, but didn't really have any info about when specifically it will be below 108.
I heard that they just flooded Sam Houston Tollway and Gessner and miles and miles around memorial coming from Barker and Addicks. Is this right ?

Doesn't sound right. I drove by those roads around 4:30 today and they were completely dry at IH10.

ACOE has slightly lowered the Addicks release and kept Barker the same. Lindner expects additional water rise between the Belt and downstream. The flooding in the Energy Corridor is a direct result of the controlled releases.

I'm not an expert but without the controlled release of Addicks, the reservoir would have filled up and gone over the other spillways probably flooding everyone anyways.

yea i get that, my problem was that my neighborhood was the first one down buffalo bayou from the dam and they had to know this would flood the neighborhood or have a good idea it would and we got zero warning. They said we will release tomorrow at 2pm from barker and they started at 12am the day before. I have friends and neighbors scared and their lives threatened at 2 am when they were preparing for the next afternoon. I get it it had to be done, and i know my house would be flooded anyways. All they said was, the bayou levels shouldn't rise that much once we open the dams....
If they didn't know then they needed to communicate we don't know whats going to happen, you need to leave just to be on the safe side.
tldr , Im ok with being flooded, just wish we could have been evacuated earlier if they even had a remote thought that it would flood the neighborhoods

Agree. My brother called me immediately and asked if he or parents would be affected behind Addicks. I looked him up and he is at 117 and parents are safe behind Barker. I drew a pic on my phone showing areas prone to flooding, and I still had to talk sister in law down that they would not be flooded by releasing water. not the conversation I wanted to have a few drinks in at midnight.
