They seem to think that the Addicks overflow will not cross BW8

Scratch that, peak overflow may cross BW8 at the cross streets.

Is I-10 heading west from the beltway to 99 expected to become impassable?

We've got a brand new baby we need to take home from the hospital later this week

Will not affect Spring Branch. Beltway acts as barrier down to I-10.

Addicks uncontrolled flow is expected to peak at an additional 4500 cfs for some days. Will eventually infiltrate Buffalo bayou and potentially white oak Bayou although not entirely know because it has never happened. They're modeling it now.

For reference Barker is at 100.4' and spillways there start at 104'. It is expected Barker will release around both ends. Shorter duration for this than Addicks expected.

Both Barker and Addicks are controlled releasing about 3500-3700 cfs with the intent to grow that to 4000 cfs each.

Uncontrollable flows will peak on Thursday and Friday. They wanted to release 8000 cfs, but the height of Buffalo Bayou blocked it to 4000 cfs. Flow around the dams is expected to peak at 4500 cfs. Total of 8500 cfs. This is about 20 percent of Buffalo Bayou.

Also, the Barker gauge is flooded. No longer a way to get a current measurement. now They are getting the Corp to come down to fix it. They expect to lose the gauge at Addicks as well.

I think the overflow at 108'+ will go straight down brittmoore to the I-10 westbound feeder and flood the underpass at BW8/I-10. The rebuilt Brittmoore about 5-7 years ago and it will become a North-South river.

Any updates on water in homes in Twin Lakes/LOE and LOE North? I have a client with a home in LOE (he's not home) and I'm a former resident in LOEN.

I think LOE and twin lakes are among those affected by the overflow. Structure flooding is possible, especially for homes nearest to the reservoir.

Lindner said that issue with Cinco Ranch area neighborhoods around the reservoirs is that the reservoirs are full thus there is no place for the streets to drain to,

Parents are in LOE, water is at their doorstep and will be in the house any minute now.

We can help evacuate people from tl/loe. If they are able, recommend they walk out before the water gets too high. We can drive them to a safe dry spot.

Yep, that is the issue. Westheimer parkway was closed through barker reservoir after the 2016 flood for several weeks. Once the dam is secure, they won't release water down buffalo bayou until buffalo bayou through memorial and downtown Houston drains to a safe level.

So even if you only end up getting a little water or street flooding from the barker reservoir dam backup, it could take many weeks to drain.

Thanks for the update. Hope that doesn't happen. We left our house in Windsor park estates. Trying to see where the water level is at in the neighborhood.

Friend just called and said Addicks was "breached", anyone have any news on that?

Can anyone confirm if BW8 to W Little York to Eldridge is passable? Trying to organize a ride for family trapped in LOE before they leave the house.

Can't visually confirm, but waze shows Little York to be open along that route. However, as you know, Little York west of Eldridge is closed as it is much lower than east of Eldridge.
