Frontier apparently just had a plan go HOU-DEN.. an hour late, but it got here. This is a good sign.

I would imagine bus routes, functioning buses, displaced students....the list is endless.Diggity said:
I guess it's a logistical nightmare but I don't really get why schools that sustained no damage are shut down as well.

This is a different situation but in 1996 I lived in Richmond, VA and we got almost 3 ft of snow overnight. When it was all said and done we missed 9 days of school. The ice would melt during the day and re-freeze at night creating 5-8 inches of ice on the road in the neighborhoods. There weren't enough plows and the city shutdown.BizAg83 said:At this pace, which will occur first next year - the last day of school or the 4th of July?Quote:

Dude, it's either 'take a risk', or don't fly at all for a trip they planned a while back and were looking forward to. Perhaps you missed when I said the other carriers didn't have a flight tomorrow. (Well, frontier shows one now). SW canceled all through saturday, and United had like 1 available saturday, and tuesday flight back was $1200.Sasappis said:62strat said:Every airline has failed to fulfill booked flight commitments in and out of Houston for almost a week now.DannyDuberstein said:
Plenty informed about Spirit failing to fulfill booked flight commitments.
Spirit is a bad airline. I am not sure why you seem determined to deny that. You knowingly take a risk when flying with them but the upside is the cheaper fare. Everything in life is a balancing act.

Anyone have any good info on flooding in Brazoria county? In-laws survived the storms without any flooding but now water is almost inside their house as the floodwaters have moved downstream.

Yeah, at a minimum they should expand the pool into the affected areas to increase the reservoir volume. If the design can take it.

Glad you have insurance. Best $450 you spent last year.
