I'm at city center and can get into I-10. Does anyone know whether I can make it all the way to San Antonio on I-10?

Daughter is west of 288 near 518. Street has water but house is dry. Coworker's brother is east of 288 off 518. Coworkers brother is being evacuated now.Cromagnum said:
I hope this BS of the west side of 288 doesn't screw over the east side of 288. It didn't last time the Brazos flooded but who knows.
Have them apply to FEMA asap. I worked Katrina, Rita and Ike, and they took the apps in order received. For Rita, some waited 3 months or more for an inspection (what I did) due to the Katrina backlog. Also, FEMA told Houstonians to apply ahead of time when they thought Rita was going to come in at Galveston....totally swamped the system.1996 said:
Does anyone have a good link for steps to be taken (insurance, fema, etc.) if you do flood. My parents have flooded and with the scope of what is happening I want them to have a head start on recovery. TIA
Does she know what neighborhood he's in? We've got a number of friends in Silverlake/Southwyck and haven't heard anything from them.SPF250 said:Daughter is west of 288 near 518. Wife and I are just south of I10 between Dairy ashford and Kirkwood. Anyone else here and staying? I was thinking about packing us a bag and trying to get to spring to be with my Folks
Any idea what path that takes? Does it go downtown? I hope it doesn't go to White Oak Bayou.BizAg83 said:
San Jacinto River to Lake Houston then ultimately to Galveston Bay.
shoot me a PM, I live across the beltway (where there is not a flood risk, and no risk anticipated.) looking at google maps, i *think* they might be able to get out by crossing at tanner. i can check it out if needed. we have room for them with us.gd28 said:
Parents are in Lakes on Eldridge with nowhere to go. All friends/family are inaccessible. What options do they have?
