It seems to me that being closer to the eye has been much better in terms of rainfall totals. These conveyer belts of rain that are training the city currently lie about 150 miles east of the current eye. As the eye moves east, wouldn't the conveyer belts? Wouldn't that be better for Houston?

Again, this is all based on my non-technical observation that nearer to the eye the rainfall rates have been manageable. I.e. The eye coming towards is should provide relief when and if it does occur.

That is what I have been thinking, but I know nothing about these storms.

I think we can manage if we get to he "green" parts, but we have just been sitting in "red" and "orange".

Somebody please give me hope. Good luck to everybody.

ok puddy. Don't forget to tell me to chug bleach and put my head in the wood chipper.

I've only ever said that to Buscemi, who spends his days trolling the Texags boards, and it's not a serious comment. Get real bub....that's entirely different that a fellow Ag (although you lack an Ag tag) that is obviously about to lose his home or at least most of his possessions in it that is in true dire straits. Your comment was uncalled for and you're a real piece of crap.
STFU. I drove through floodwater tonight and had to shelter w/ some cops at a church for a while. I'm happy I made it home, and I don't give a **** if some Old Rivalries ******bag like you thinks I'm being insensitive for making harmless joke. Go choke on a dick.

Nobody telling the board that their house is about to flood deserves any sort of joke much less your poor definition of a "harmless joke," you absolute pile of dog sh-t. Go f yourself assclown

Both of you idiots need to take it to the GB.

Yea, this crap needs to stop. Every time we get towards the end of a red/orange band, another one forms right behind it.

I am out of state and worried about a friend who lives near Shepherd and 610. They are better off than others for now.

Does anyone local know if the roads are passable enough for her to get to 45N? I can't get Transtar cameras to load.

Stay safe Ags.

If you have power, shut it off at the breaker box if you can do it safely. Otherwise do what swimmer said and start unplugging everything.

Something like that

If that pans out, expect that whole area to be under several feet of water

It's going to be tough for the city to recover from that

That projected crest is about 1.5 feet below where it reached during Allison.

KHOU having to move to the second floor to keep broadcasting. Two reporters showing the flooding outside their building just realized on air that everybody in the building is probably about to lose their vehicles.

Oh. OK. I thought this was higher than Allison. That is actually A tiny sliver of good news for a lot of people.
