Where in Klein are Y'all?
Based on the chart, HWY 6 floods at roughly 96' or 97'. House flooding at 103' or 104'. Top of spillway is 117.5'. I assume that any water over the spillway is not what Buffalo Bayou needs right now.Rustys-Beef-o-Reeno said:at what point does everyone around and downstream need to freak the **** out?Aggie1205 said:

I've only ever said that to Buscemi, who spends his days trolling the Texags boards, and it's not a serious comment. Get real bub....that's entirely different that a fellow Ag (although you lack an Ag tag) that is obviously about to lose his home or at least most of his possessions in it that is in true dire straits. Your comment was uncalled for and you're a real piece of crap.

Good lord...
The higher the elevation in the reservoir goes, the more water it takes to fill the next foot of increase. Getting from 100ish to 117 would take a gigantic amount of water well beyond anything forecast. This thing may very well get us past the levels we saw last year, but getting to spillway elevation is still very unlikely in my opinion. The reason the dam is given a high risk rating by USACE is not because it is necessarily at imminent risk of failure, but because of the loss of life and property that would occur if it did fail. If it were to fail, it would be the spillway and gate structures most likely and not the levee itself. So unless you are right on the buffalo bayou channel below the dam, failure of the dam wouldn't be high on my list of concerns.Aggie1205 said:Based on the chart, HWY 6 floods at roughly 96' or 97'.
