What I don't want to see is someone who has a high priority thanks to football donations edge out longtime season ticket holders just because they can. So, what I would do, as a compromise, is to do reseating in two phases. Phase One would be for major donors to the expansion project, setting a threshold like $500,000 or so, and existing season ticket holders. There would be a lot of movement but no one who has seats now would be pushed out. Then, Phase Two would be everyone based on priory points.12th Man Ag said:Bondag said:
I'm being selfish but I hope they don't ever expand to the point of reseating because I have 0 faith in the 12th Man Foundation not screwing over fans that have had same seats 10+ years.
If the expansion happens, I think there will 100% be a re-seating. They must take into account length of term for season ticket holders in addition to PP points, imo. But they could easily say baseball season ticket holders got fat by not making donations to the TMF since they didn't have to and punish them by re-seating based on PP.
If they expand but don't do anything to the existing seats what's the justification for reseating? With Kyle they could argue that they tore down the entire west side so your seats didn't exist anymore. I don't think the plan they floated a couple of years ago included anything that drastic so I just don't see how they justify it. I've said for years if I get a chance to buy my existing tickets and can't afford them I'm fine but if I get forced out for someone with more priority points I'll politely decline and find something else to do with my time and money. They won't miss me but I've sat in that basic spot for 31 years and that should matter. If it doesn't so be it.
