$150M is little after taxes. He should think very hard before he trades the Aggieland experience, family game weekends, coeds, pitching development opportunity, and NIL for lengthy bus rides, junk food, all business/less fun mentality, and impersonal teammate relationships.

Freshcorn isn't signing for $150k. He likely has told teams a number between $500k - $1 million and the Cardinals either found the money to give it to him or are hoping he'll take a little less.

Here's what the locals are saying -

The Cardinals drafted a lot of players this weekend. I'm hopeful that bonus pool is used up before they get to their 19th round pick.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but kinda odd to me that Hacopian, at least in the short term, is going to be more famous for proving that Much McConnell is alive.

(If you haven't seen, they put the current WaPost sports page in his lap to prove the date and it's mostly a huge photo of local kid returning home, Hacopian in all his eye black glory.

Frankly a mid-market team ranked 13th in club valuation with 11 championships and a .520 record over almost 23,000 games is. Nothing to sneer at.

And the EBITDA and loans suggest that being cheap is keeping them in the black.

Moss doesn't need to ask for another year. He has only used 3 years of eligibility so not only would he have another year, he has two extra years with the new 5 for 5 rule.

All that being said, we have not been given a reason to believe he won't sign a pro contract so I wouldn't hold your breath.
