Some really good insight from Coach Earley about the ABS system and the flaws in Trackman. Based on this interview plus what he said on TexAgs yesterday, it would appear that a some of the calls we've all been so upset about is because the umps have been altering their calls to the Trackman system, which doesn't adjust to a player's height/build.
Except if they were out to slant the game one way or another when they had no oversight, why would they continue to intentionally blow calls now that they get audited in real-time?
If the robo calls are almost instant, why have the umps make the calls at all. Challenges would serve no purpose except to slow down the game. In real-life using the computer to correct calls, you would only need one ump to call the entire game.
