Between injury issues and inconsistent pitching performances, Michael Earley & Co. have had to get creative in how they've approached the back half of the conference schedule. Still, the Aggies are one series win away from potentially being a national seed, regardless of whether it's pretty or not.

An old adage shared by many baseball coaches when emphasizing the importance of elements such as two strike plans, pre-pitch prep steps or secondary leads, Michael Earley could use it with increased context, given the bumps and bruises his ballclub is currently carrying.
