Kid is a stud. My son's team played his team (Performance Baseball/Brewers Scout Team) this summer and he was the winning pitcher. I forget his exact stat line but he was dominant. Sat about 89 and ran it up to 92 with a change-up and hammer. And he has excellent command and control. I think he might have given up 1 hit and 1 walk in 6 IP. He pounded the zone and could throw any pitch for a strike in any count.

We lost 2-0.

My son threw 1.1 IP that game too and had 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, and 2 Ks- I was a little bummed though because the college coaches there watching Bonnette left before my kid pitched.

If you read that where I think you did, it's a typo by a Student Assistant

I have it on really good authority HS season ERA was a 2.10, 80ks, 30BB in 60 innings

Had a playoff start on the road with 8 IP, 2 H, 0BB, 15 ks

Summer season 1.98 ERA facing elite talent, 48ks, 16BB in 28 innings

But I would caution anyone not to rely on stats with recruits. They can be very deceiving when figuring out what a kid will project as in college…
