We have a HC / manager taking OJT in a job that you should be a seasoned pro with skins on the wall to get the job, we have a weak staff, and this entire season will be a race to less than mediocrity with no chance of making the field of 64, not even as the weakest #4 seed in any regional.

I understand why Earley was hired, I also understand why he was not canned after one season, but after the Mizzou series last season Trev should have started doing his due diligence and in about 2-3 weeks when it is obvious we won't make the field of 64 he needs to start the actual process of finding the next Aggie baseball coach.

This is miserable baseball. Pathetic coaching.

Am I the only one that thinks there's still quite some overreaction? Yea the yellow flags would spring up if we got run ruled tonight at home or something but this series is there for the taking.

Pitching is a big concern now of course but I'm not in the whole early overreaction camp and just gonna see what happens. If we win one but lose this series, still not too much concern. If we get swept, maybe the red flags will spring up a bit. They'll really spring up if we drop this series and lose next weekend though.

But not right now even after this performance

extend Bucky or replace the baseball coaching staff

is there money for both?

(especially after the volleyball coach got extended)

Dude… look around College Station. This isn't 2000 A&M. If we can't support both programs, we have no business being in the SEC. This joker lucked into one of the top jobs in baseball and failed. Move on and find someone deserving of the opportunity. He's a petulant child who is in over his head.

Aye. This isn't the first team to get whooped on an opening game of a series. Let's give it a bit more time before we start fitting ourselves for nooses.

2-23 at the plate for 3-9 in the lineup. If Earley is really coaching hitting then he sucks massively at it.

Look I'm mad about tonight too but geez… it's one bad game (two when you count UCLA) out of 20

Now if it happens again this weekend, then yes let's have a discussion.

But alot of you will look really foolish if we end up winning this series 2/3

Giving up 8.5 runs per game in the SEC ain't going to cut it. It starts with pitching and defense.

With a 9-4 home loss to Georgia, we have dropped to 1-3 in SEC play, and we allowed 9+ runs in all 3 SEC losses. Our pitching and defense must step up significantly. Otherwise, we will probably finish with a losing SEC record for the 2nd straight year.

We would not be a 4 seed. Those are reserved for minor conferences tournament winners. The lowest a power 4 team can be seeded is 3.

We did go through the process. Vitello told us no twice. O'Connor told us no too. We left Earley twisting in the wind for a week when Alberts was trying to upgrade and was unsuccessful,

There were other coaches available. Most of which would be upgrades.
