Remove both of our 9 hole batters, and Auburn's worst hitter (Lucas Steele) has a better batting average (.280) than 6 of our 8 batters. Wowza.

The sad part is that the spread between us (currently #52) and #46 is 80 RPI points; today's win is worth an estimated 37 points, good for a bump to #50. After #46, it is another 80 points all the way to #35. It will take wins over Auburn and LSU to get us into the mid 40s. Winning the tournament would jump us into the mid/upper 30s.

All that assumes the teams above us also don't improve.

37 RPI points and only 2-3 in RPI rank. We have to stack up bunch of these for RPI to matter, which is why most say we have to win or make the final.

4 hole hitter showing bunt on 1-0 count with two outs on probably the best pitch to hit the entire at bat. So basically Kash had the red light on a 1-0 count where the pitcher had just struck out the previous two batters.

What are we doing. I'm at a loss.
