If we expect the players to perform like professionals, then the fans should follow suit. Cut out the high-school BS. Get rid of the 'ball five' chant, the bubbles, the choreographed taunts… 'Rattlin' Bog' was a time-specific celebration. Its' time has passed. A lot of 'old Ags' don't want to admit it, but our fan base IS cringy.

The "chants" are just finding different ways to sing the pitcher's name. Or "________er? I HARDLY KNOW HER!!"

Our atmosphere is incredibly stale, stupid and repetitive right now.

ETA: And I'm sorry, but since softball, the BV Bombers and every little league team in the area now does bubbles, it's time to move on from that. Flame away.

I am curious how you would like the fans to act. What do you feel is worthy of the college game?

I agree on the Rattlin' Bog being time specific, but the ball 5 chant is one of the best traditions in college baseball.

I take it you haven't been to many college baseball venues. There's nothing wrong with what the fans do at Olsen. What players from other teams really notice is that, even if you think it's "cringy," having fans involved is not all that typical. Most college baseball games are played in pretty dead atmospheres. Being an exception to that is a positive.

Yes something is very strange...I'm not accusing or implying anything. We were 40-1 favorites on Friday night and I believe it was similar the other 2 games. Of course these type favorites do lose however this was 3 in a row..

What we had pre-Schloss was a damn site better than what it's come down to. Also, Miss State, Arkansas and even Texas has a better atmosphere than we do right now.

We used to play stuff like AC/DC and Ted Nugent and all kinds of great classic rock. I heard Chappell effing Roan and 4 different Pitbull songs on Saturday. Honestly, our in-game experience has been neutered.

Texas' game atmosphere is quiet and disinterested unless they play us. Then it's just slightly louder. They are the worst among the ones you listed.

Arky and Miss St have huge stadiums and it's good. The stadium size makes a difference. I hope we incorporate grills in the outfield areas whenever we expand. There are plenty of SEC schools with good atmospheres. All of them are different.

However, there are countless stories/interviews on how good Olsen is - from media, former players at other teams, visiting media, etc. I bet Oregon thinks we have a top notch atmosphere and would give anything to have it.

Schloss was the one who changed a lot of music at Olsen in 2022. There are songs I miss from back in the day that were Olsen staples. Send in an email to Gameday productions.
