I guarantee you the Alabama dugout was saying thank god when Earley yanked Jackson. It was so obvious he had his A stuff tonight

On a more positive note if we can get that version of Luke Jaskson (or at least something close to it) he might be our answer for the closer job.
We were a few runs from a national title last year and were pre-season #1.MR Gadsden said:

100% agree. I really liked his stuff tonight.

We are probably a week from dipping below .500 in winning pct after the first series in SEC play.
How long was your nap, grandpa?
On this board. Cheering for the baseball team. I've been here for years, whether we have been slipping on dog turds or competing for Big 12 or SEC titles.Capitol Ag said:BadMoonRisin said:We were a few runs from a national title last year and were pre-season #1.MR Gadsden said:

Oh, he knows. He just realizes that with around 35-36 games left, maybe it isn't time to melt down. Where will you be if we win the next 2?

1000%. I couldn't believe it when I saw him strolling out of the dugout to do a pitching change. I was like WTF? Jackson was ON tonight and for some dumbass reason Earley pulled him. If your horse is running then let him run.

My first time going to a game this year and the one that stood out was the energy. Bama had noticeable energy from the first pitch to the last. Rarely did you see energy coming from our dugout and we sat right by it. Hell, the most energy anyone in maroon and white showed was the batgirls sprinting to get the bats and balls. Props to those girls and whoever is in charge there.
The production of everything seemed to be lacking. I guess we did away with the flyover and now we have two little firework pops during the national anthem. The music didn't seem to ever be loud enough, but that could have just been because of where I was sitting.
I'm not one that thinks a coach has to yell all the time good or bad, but Earley is clearly one with a very slow heartbeat. He does not get high or low. He got mad at the umps once but I can't remember what it was about. Maybe Jamal leaning over the plate which was an obvious call so I'm assuming he picked a spot to try and fire the team up. Every coach I've ever played for would have lit my ass up had I done what Galloway did on that ground ball to first that he didn't run out. It was a fair ball. Galloway had the best view of it and he basically walked to first. Not even a comment from Earley when he came back in the dugout.
There's plenty of things about the actual play, but the main takeaway there was Bama got their swings off damn near every swing and we rarely did. Every single swing they take scares you. We seemed extremely hesitant and rarely on time.
