If we're going to keep both in the batting order, we might have to think about dropping Schott and LaViolette a little further down in the order. Too many weak at bats and fewer walks with better pitching.

With his speed and a cold day like this I'd just have him steal.
LaViolette's issue is he's swinging exclusively for homeruns or doubles off the fence and we don't have the wind for that right now. A lot of those flyouts are HRs in nuetral or favorable wind. The lack of adjustment to the conditions is concerning to me though.

killzone: You may be right but in my opinion, Jace takes too many pitches without taking a good cut and then gets fooled on the 3rd strike pitch. I like him extending the pitch count but I'd rather he was extending the count by fouling off more pitches and swinging a bit more aggressively.
