People forget how big of a deal Breakaway is on campus. I doubt faith is going to be pushing any recruits away.

I think his family is the biggest driver if I were to guess. He has 5 kids. Uprooting them from where they have lived their entire lives is no easy decision.

He's at a private Christian school and it looks like discipling to his players is a big part of how he sees himself as a coach, mentor, father figure, etc.

A&M is conservative. But generally, its not 10-commandments in the the classroom conservative.

We talk about 'fit' with A&M all the time and its importance. He might well be at the place that is the best 'fit' for him and his values. Good for him if so!

I know you are being sarcastic. But pretty easy to see the difference between these as far as family. Also Schloss had two in college that most likely knew why his parent got divorced. . Not really leaving them.
