Is Sully at UF a pipe dream? His salary is like 1.84 mil. Pay him 2.5 and be done with it. After all he's the guy Schloss is always talking about wanting his program to be like. Make him say no.
Oregon State just lost their Oregon State grad football coach who had them ranked in the top 15 for the first time in years. Being without a conference home will do that.DDowl44 said:South Platte said:
Mitch Canham
Tyler Naquin
Josh Holliday
Ben Orloff
The Lamar coach
This won't be a hard search. Tons of qualified guys will want this job.
This better not be our list:
Canham, Holliday, Orloff ain't leaving their alma maters even for TAMU. And we shouldn't want any of them. Will Davis has been to 0 NCAA tournaments. Not MCWS, TOURNAMENTS! Tyler Naquin hasn't coached a day that I can find in any collegiate sense.
Any guesses as to who he is referring to?PA24 said:

Better at least make Vitello tell us no. If that happens them:
Link Jarrett
Mingione
Bakich
Anybody else and we are back to the RC days.
A week ago EVERYONE was cussing vitello, calling him a ****** bag.
At least he is a d-bag to your face.DGrimesAg92 said:AggieBB said:

good at coaching is such a small part of it now, need the BEST portal worker available. Isn't Schloss considered the best at it so far?

I'd bet they are working it very , very hard right now . If they weren't prepared for it then that's on them because it sounds like there was plenty of smoke before the fire got out of control for weeks to months.
Vitello coming here is in now way comparable to what Schlossbag did. Not even close.90ags said:
UGA upped Wes Johnson contract with dollars and extension, so he's a no (not saying he'd be on the list, but if he was, he isn't anymore).
Vitello not coming...he said no to tu earlier in the year. But, after what Schloss just did, he will not do that to Tenn. In fact, it might make many coaches rethink this scenario a small bit.
If youre going to pay somebody 2.5 then get Vitello here. He's twice the coach that Sully is and just won a natty.85AustinAg said:

Well he is. But if you don't want to lose all of our current players, recruits, etc then he's the guy. Besides that, he would bring some absolute STUDS from a team that just won a natty.DGrimesAg92 said:AggieBB said:

offer him 2.5 mill and he'd be on the first flight to CSJDay said:
Vitello isn't leaving Tennessee. Bakich, Jarrett, and Mangione have their dream jobs. I really feel like the best guy the Aggies could go get is Dan McDonnell. If he could load up on talent the way he did at Louisville, he could kill it at A&M. Much easier place to recruit to and he knows how to win in the postseason.

Vitello IS a ****** bag. But he's a damn good coach, and doesn't seem to be a liar. He tells it like it is whether you like it or not. And he will usually say it in a way that can be described as that of a horrible human or "motivation" (if you watch Welcome to Wrexham)

Skip Johnson would be the equivalent of Stoops for football to me...
I mean hell... I feel like Childress had a better record of consistent post season play than him
