What a game.

BTHO Kentucky!

What was your vantage point of the Jace catch?
We were over third base dugout and it looked like a homer to us.

I'm confident in Prager v. Kentucky. That was a heck of a game Ags!!!

Schloss owes Jace and Evan steak dinners for preventing his mismanagement from costing us the game. Pulled Lamkin too soon and CC too late. Plus, defensive positioning was questionable at times.

Well we know who Trev Alberts has on speed dial when Schloss' "BFF" Del Conte convinces him with a bunch of money and vague promises of a replacement for the Disch to coach for sippie once our season is over.

I said before it started that if we had a game where we won with CC going 5 and Asch going 4, I take it, and let the chips fall where they may. We basically got that tonight, since most of us thought Lamkin was washed for the season.

Every round of the post-season tests a different aspect of your club.

Regionals test your pitching depth, especially if you have to play through the loser's bracket.

Supers test your weekend rotation. They are the purest form of college baseball.

Omaha pool play, with the rest days, tests your high leverage guys. We stole 3 innings tonight with Lamkin. Asch can go again on Monday if needed. CC maybe again too.

The finals are like Supers, but you don't get full rest. Not only does it test the weekend rotation, but it also rewards teams that get through pool play quickly. That was a heckuva flex by LSU winning the final series without Skenes last year.

Probably the best opening round in the history of the CWS. 4 great teams apiece from the top 2 conferences. Nobody gave an inch for 4 games.

Well, that, and 5 more baserunners and 2 AB's from Cags.

I liked that the announcers acknowledged Ash as "the best closer in college baseball". First time I've heard that about him. He really has been as solid as a rock for us all year. Such a huge part of our success.

Watch the video of that when you can. It was going over the top of the wall and the batter was in stunned disbelief.

Everybody gonna rave about the Tubby catch. Rightly so

However, another huge play was Appel corralling that 3rd strike that got away from him, checking the runner back to third, and then completing the out at first. Huge play. Appel had a hell of a game tonight. Lots of balls in the dirt that could have easily cost us a run. He's been a warrior thru this postseason run

One of most important plays of last night was by Camarillo. He really earned a tough walk in second inning.

That walk pushed a runner into scoring position. More importantly, it got into that young pitcher's head. From that point forward, we had that pitcher by the throat.

one interesting aspect for today's game...

we haven't seen Schloss operate in a close game at Omaha

I did NOT like that. Those comments usually bring bad juju. It's like saying this guy hasn't missed a FG all year right before he misses.

He did get an award earlier in the day as the best relieving pitcher. That's why they said that.

hopefully the Ags are done with Florida in Omaha

the Gators have been a tough matchup this year

A&M has played few low-scoring games, but 2 of them have come against UF

last night and the series finale in Gainesville
