What a game.
BTHO Kentucky!
What was your vantage point of the Jace catch?

Well we know who Trev Alberts has on speed dial when Schloss' "BFF" Del Conte convinces him with a bunch of money and vague promises of a replacement for the Disch to coach for sippie once our season is over.DartmouthAg said:
Schloss owes Jace and Evan steak dinners for preventing his mismanagement from costing us the game. Pulled Lamkin too soon and CC too late. Plus, defensive positioning was questionable at times.
Florida's decision to bunt Thomas over in the seventh while trailing 3-1 dropped their win probability from 24.2% to 19.3% in our model.#MCWS

Now do after the groundout.
Play for 1 run and that's what you'll get.

Well, that, and 5 more baserunners and 2 AB's from Cags.
Watch the video of that when you can. It was going over the top of the wall and the batter was in stunned disbelief.dermdoc said:
Everybody in the ball park thought that was a homer but Jace did Jace things.

Probably the best opening round in the history of the CWS. 4 great teams apiece from the top 2 conferences. Nobody gave an inch for 4 games.
IT WAS a homer......but it was taken away !dermdoc said:We were over third base dugout and it looked like a homer to us.Aggies2009 said:dermdoc said:

Now we haveW said:
one interesting aspect for today's game...
we haven't seen Schloss operate in a close game at Omaha
back in 2022...the closest margin of victory / defeat was 4 runs in all 4 games the Ags played

I liked that the announcers acknowledged Ash as "the best closer in college baseball". First time I've heard that about him. He really has been as solid as a rock for us all year. Such a huge part of our success.
and he blew a tire around 3rd base and crashed that sucker into home on the rim.bdp514am said:
Let's give schott props for scoring what proved to be the winning run, all the way from first on a bad wheel

I did NOT like that. Those comments usually bring bad juju. It's like saying this guy hasn't missed a FG all year right before he misses.
