I'd take that. We're the clear favorite in that regional and Grambling doesn't have an ace that we would worry about out being able to hit well which gives us a chance to hold Prager for game 2. Then only Florida on the other side has any experience this year in a place like Olsen so I like my chances in Supers against any of the California schools.

I love the job that those guys do, but even they admit that their packaging of regionals is hasty at best. They don't do any discussion on the 400 mile travel rule. They just think "close" or *not close." The committee will have all of those mileages at their fingertips.

I've mentioned it before, but it's a good example... Nebraska is 399 miles from Stillwater, OK. That makes it the only bus trip possible for a definite 2 seed. And if you slot them in Stillwater it has a domino effect on almost every other region as they packaged them. It means DBU has to go elsewhere else (OU/A&M). And College Station is the only host within 400 miles for Louisiana (also less than 400 from B/CS to LaTech, DBU, Texas). Sending Louisiana to UT and Nebraska to UK doesn't fit the bus travel preference and there's slots within 400 miles that would.

Irvine, Indiana St and LSU are the only 2 seeds not within 400 miles of a host I believe (assuming I have the 2 seeds right.

Lots of loading and reloading and buffering to say the least. But I did see 5 roosters, 2 quail, 7 whitetails and 5 little muley bucks last night so it ain't all bad.

Besides the obvious (4/5 paired up with Arkansas at Omaha? Sips to Olsen? Which region we are paired with), the most interesting thing may be which four seed we end up with. The committee usually likes to keep these teams close to home (i.e. within the 400 mile bus trip limit), when possible, and the only 4 seed that fits that description for Olsen is Grambling. They would be a fit at Fayetteville, as well, but ORU is also a possibility in Fayetteville.

At any rate, if we get the SWAC champion, I think we will pitch backwards and go with Sdao on Friday. Grambling does have a clear ace, a right hander from Amarillo named Mason Martinez, with decent numbers, but I don't think it's the kind of matchup where you would say we can't afford to hold Prager for the second game.

We can't be any lower than my guess of 4 then
