I don't know about the ALWAYS been fun matchup part. Those regional/super regional matchups in RC's early years were pretty brutal. Like TCU was to become later.

It was fun for me growing up in Houston because it was the one road game we always got to go

Really important game for some of the young pitchers. Would love to see the freshman come in and fill up the zone. It would be huge if Wilson and Morton could come on late this year for Regionals. I believe the roster size goes up in Regionals from the normal 27.

I'll say it. I would rather lose than pitch Achenbeck, Rudis, Cortez or Sdao. Or play Grahovak or Appel. This should be full tilt load management day. Take the L of it comes. Don't care and won't complain.

We've had a lot of midweek wins this season where we didn't play well. After this weekend's ugliness in BTR, I want to see us play well. I don't think Rice has the talent to compete with us if we do that.

Lifelong Rice fan (and grad degree there) second to A&M as many know. I can tell you this team is so awful that A&M would have to almost literally no-show to lose this. I tuned out on this Rice team by the time they were like 7-20.
