Didn't see what Appel was wearing. But soccer players have been wearing these bra like things for a few years. They relay real time biometric data. But they are sprinting and running a bunch hitting red zone. Baseball not so much.

Thanks to a good Ag that couldn't make it, I got to take my youngest to her first Aggie Baseball game last night.
To sum it up, luckiest kid ever!
After picking her up from school, we stopped at Bucees for junk we didn't need on the way up from Houston. And had Koppe Bridge for dinner where she decided toothpicks were awesome.
We made it to game early so we could find our seats and then explore the park before the game. On the way back to our seats she was asked to be the "play ball" kid. So even though she is shy by nature, she got to go onto the field, meet some of the players, get a game ball signed by the team, and of course say "play ball" in front of the entire stadium.
After a slow start, there was just enough bubbles, snacks we won't be telling mom about, and Olson Magic to cap off her first Aggie Baseball game in style.
It was a great night.
Now I just have to explain that isn't going to happen every game and temper her big sisters expectations when it's her turn to go up for a game in a couple weeks. She's been before and is definitely jealous!

We did a lot of crash practice from the time she was selected to going out on the field. 90% of the time she speaks so softly we can't hear her and are constantly telling her to speak up. So I was probably more nervous than she was just hoping we could hear something. It didn't help that I made the mistake of telling mom while we were waiting and was threatened with my life if I didn't get it on video.
So they lead us down to the diamond club and have me wait in the corner of the first row next to the Aggie dugout while they go underneath to get to the field. I thought they said they would come up from the dugout. Here I am looking like a weirdo peering into the dugout with my camera on video to capture her coming up when Coach Schloss is like "can I help you?". It took a brief second for me to realize how out of place and wrong I look and to apologize for making him think I'm trying to get video of his dugout or players. Thankfully he was cool about it and didn't rip me a new one. And of course right then they come walking around the far end of the dugout (having not gone through it like I thought they said) and I point and explain the confusion and try to laugh it off.
Thankfully Coach Box caught on what was happening and took over. He was really great and introduced Louise to some of the players and got her an autographed game ball. At this point she realizes she's on the field, surrounded by people she doesn't know, reverts to being shy. Coach Box recognized it and took the time to practice the "play ball" call with her and distracted her with questions and conversation and jokes until she went up to home plate and thankfully killed it (for her).
I've spent some time trying to find an email address for Coach Box to send him a thank you, but I haven't been able to find one this morning. If anyone has it or a way for me to get him and his bosses a note of thanks, I'd appreciate it.
