We are watching some good pitching today. So are our batters.

A few guys today looking at strike 3. Have to be more aggressive.

I don't understand why we watch so many pitches in the lower part of the zone. It's a perfect pitch to get the meat of the bat on the ball and drive it.

A phenomenon where you win two games rather easily and you come out not as sharp, not as focused for game 3. You just seem to go through the motion and can make an average pitcher look all American. It happens to the best players and best teams and it's a tough task for a coach to keep them sharp all the time. Just thinking you can throw your hat on the field and win.

Not saying it's happening, but it only takes losing a little focus to lose that edge. You often see it in pitchers who come into a game in a high leverage situation, bases loaded, no outs, they get two strikeouts then seem to relax and give up a big hit on a bad pitch. On the first two batters they were laser focused, then they relax.

Again not saying it's happening but you will see it on occasion.
