Probably thinks he's more likely to get a Head Coach job out of there. Their latest pitching coach got the Georgia job after only one season.

And Lsu recruits itself, especially now. Hasn't appeared Yeskie is recruiting elite here, so we need someone who can.

Sips fired their pitching-coach the other day, so we're searching with them.

I would expect Jim Schlossnagle to move fast on a replacement for Nate Yeskie. Some of the names I’ve heard as potential replacements would be pretty strong hires. Stay tuned. @AggieBaseball

His resume speaks much higher than the talent level we had on the mound the last two years. Dettmer was our ace for crying out loud and he hardly went past the 4th inning in a majority of his starts

It's funny to see how many on here have no problem with what is considered one of the top pitching coaches leaving. Also how many are blaming him for this year's pitching woes. I believe ERAs were up this year as K zones got tighter.

Also can't say there was alot left over from the RC era. Detrmer the big name, Cortez...... How many freshmen were aces across the country? Expectations at A&M don't seem realistic.

Schloss has 5 CWS trips more than anything A&M has ever seen. Also most games won at the CWS by any A&M coach. I would like to think he knows how to run a program.

The real question is why are we not holding our ADs accountable? Is LSU money wipping us? Why can't we get our house in order?

I'm not sure whether to be upset that we lost a coach to LSU or happy that the pitching coach who oversaw the worst 2 pitching staffs in the last 18 years is gone.

What do you want to hold the AD accountable for exactly? We know no details. Maybe they are paying him more than Schloss feels like he is worth and can use the money elsewhere.

Would childress come back and just coach pitchers? Asking for a friend.

Generally when a VP or C level person leaves my company the CEO addresses to avoid rumors.

I don't think you need a reminder of how all the smaller programs in major sports are out performing us.

I think this is where Aggies make a poor assumptions. We have no titles. Ask any highly recruited senior who do you trust to make a title run. Which program is likely to put more focus on the sport. So if your the coach where do you think you will get better kids which could land you a better job. We are not there yet as a program. Give Scloss what he needs.

LSU baseball is Alabama in football, maybe even more so at this point…they are the premier college baseball organization period. If you can't see that you don't watch college baseball outside of college station
